This is mostly true, but we have already seen cases where we are holding people that didn’t deserve to be held. Deporting people here legally. Detaining tourists visiting legally, etc.
I tend to think these travel warnings are a bit silly, but it does not take away from the fact that the specific mistakes the Trump admin make are having a negative perception on the image of the USA.

It’s reminding me of the TSA rollout. Biggest benefit from it was giving unemployable assholes a job.
FWIW, countries (including the US) often issue these things like they are giving out candy, because nobody wants to be the government who didn't warn its citizens. But I did take a peek at some recent country specific issuances "against" the US. Some are pretty banal ("they're enforcing immigration laws more strictly than before" and "entry standards are evolving, check before you go") and some are more pointed ("LGBTQ+ beware!").
