WTF was that? I may not sleep tonight in fear of those characters invading my dreams.

I'm ruined. I checked out a couple more of their videos. Sort of a South African Trailer Park Boys doing rap music. Bizarre.
Now this is diversity. As a Hawkeye wrestling, Cardinals baseball, Steelers football and Canadiens hockey fan, I have to disagree with that statement for 2016. Oh, also Spurs fan for the sport (league) I never watch, ditto on the disagreeing, though.
I have been disassociating from a lot since the election.

Of course this went over poorly. We live in a white, heteronormativ, patriarchal society. The majority of posters on wrestling boards benefit from the hegemonic systems in place and do not wish to challenge their pre-existing beliefs or standards they've taken for granted as societal norms. Not to mention wrestling is a sport with a culture of extreme hypermasculinity making it even more uncomfortable for most to try to go against the hegemonic grain.

Crack a book you mouthbreathers.

I've also noticed most of the United States Military graveyards around the Globe are filled with 99% of members from that exclusive "white boys club", that fought and died for you and I to live freely, and for many to trash those very same people. Short memories we have here in the good ol' USA.Society is a mostly white boys' club and members of said club freak out if anyone challenges that, especially in wrestling where the boys can't be weak (literally or figuratively).
All I did was state the truth. You're not the only one going to read it, so like it or don't like it, makes no difference to me.Oh ffs. I was translating water the other poster said. I'm well aware of the military and have/have had family members and friends serve in all the branches.

Her's was the only one that said "white boys club", so that's where I went. Nothing more nothing less.Yea.......but you should haves replied to jopafanclub's original post rather than Wendy. Makes you look a bit off the mark here.

Thanks, Wendy-I was worried that he meant women couldn't like wrestling. I would never have met my wife between tournament sessions if that was the case! I guess I got a good one-she never seemed to be offended while hanging out with us.Society is a mostly white boys' club and members of said club freak out if anyone challenges that, especially in wrestling where the boys can't be weak (literally or figuratively).

Suggesting that the ruling class manipulates the masses by setting an agenda of societal norms that benefits their interests isn't trolling.

I think someone needs a safespace Kwood. You came to a wrestling board for what purpose?

Isn't there a forum somewhere out there for women admiring Karl Marx , your message may be better received there.Suggesting that the ruling class manipulates the masses by setting an agenda of societal norms that benefits their interests isn't trolling.
I was torn between the two tbh.
I'm adressing the topic of this thread.
I'm confused AZ, you mean they don't give out 33 participation trophies at NCAAs?Well cool. Your handle is kind of ironic considering that all of those things you applied to wrestling also applied to PSU with JoePa. JoePa was the HHIC and really defined Penn State's culture...it literally was a patriarchy there for a long time. However, between football and wrestling, there is only one sport that both men and women do; and both do it at very high, equal level. Finally, name me another sport that is as egalitarian as wrestling? I'll wait. Scratch the surface of our supposed white-male dominance on this board and you will find folks that generally believe that the best wrestler should represent Iowa (or any other team) regardless of race, religion, sexuality, socioeconomic status etc.
