The camera disputed the original accusation from the cop and they changed it to what he had been acknowledging the entire time. It's not that complex. This guy made a horrible decision after a horrible decision and spent time in federal prison because of it.

I was not a fan of the blanket pardon and the actions Kyle Young took that day correctly resulted in him getting an assualt on a cop charge.
I have been very clear this entire. He admitted what he had done was a crime, what he was originally accused of, the cop had zero ability to produce and they change the story to what Kyle had said the whole time. Change your pants.

And he did not admit to the assault "the whole time". He finally took a plea after the evidence came out in court. His original plea was nog guilty FFS.
Kyle Young, a 38-year-old from Redfield, Iowa, was originally charged with multiple offenses for his actions during the January 6, 2021, U.S. Capitol riot. According to court documents, these charges included:
- Assaulting, resisting, or impeding certain officers
- Civil disorder
- Obstruction of an official proceeding
- Robbery
- Entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds
- Disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds
- Engaging in physical violence in a restricted building or grounds
- Act of physical violence in the Capitol grounds or buildings
