The league is really competing top to bottom, minus about three teams (Illinois, Rutgers and Nebraska)

I'd agree. When OSU, Mich and PSU are strong, makes the entire conference stronger.

Hate to say it, but throw ND in to that mix too. When they're good, usually means that football in the Midwest is at the tops.

Makes me miss the days when Iowa could circle teams such as Northwestern as automatic wins. LOL The league is much tougher then it was when Hayden was coaching.

Both of these teams have played 1 BIG game between them. I have no clue if Iowa is "good" or Wisconsin. I hope Iowa is, but when you have 8 or 9 more BIG games to play, it's yet to be determined. You are putting the cart before the horse.

Neb's having a solid season for them. They aren't Iowa or even NW & they can't be held to those teams standards.

Before we anoint ourselves as great, which is way way too early, we definitely shouldn't be talking smack about other teams. Nebraska, Purdue, NW, Minn, could easily have a great game and beat us. The new coaches at MN/Purdue have generated excitement for their players, and regardless of how much people want to admit it Nebraska plays tough.

In a nutshell, the conference has a lot of teams that could be quality programs.

I wasn’t anointing us as great. It always takes until November to tell what we have.

Just depends if we make enough headway in Sept, to stay ahead in Oct, and make the push in November.
