This story is getting beyond crazy

Yikes. I hadn't even heard about this until this thread. Hopefully they can track her down and get her back.

Trained her when she worked for my employer.. also know the dad since he had worked there as well prior.. dad is a good guy.. she’s always came off crazy with personal experiences and kinda off her rockers.. hope they find the kid soon

You confirmed my suspicions.

I apologize for saying dad may be nuts as well. It comes with the territory of my family and juvenile law work. i.e. how could someone sane have a child with someone that is off their rockers

All good... to your point though he has to be somewhat crazy to marry her though. He moved down to KC to be closer to family and he’s definitely the only stability in that child’s life. To your point, I have no idea how she had her.. if I remember right I don’t believe she has any custody as part of divorce but I could be totally wrong on that

I have a fear of this happening to my grand baby so this hits home

Same. I've always wondered though, how often kids are abducted by someone they know or knows them? This one is even believed to be with her maternal parent even though she doesn't have custody. Regardless, it would be absolutely horrifying, but if it was my crazy ex-wife that took them, at least I can (hopefully) assume they won't get hurt/killed before I can get them back.

My legal experience tells me that a lot of people consider kids possessions, not humans

I have a friend from the VA that would hunt down the perpetrator if he knew about this.

Most kidnappings are by non custodial parents.

Kids getting kidnapped by random strangers are the rare ones that get more attention.

To be fair though the random strangers are more dangerous generally speaking.

The “divorce process” does many times, encourage this thinking...It’s really an empty, lonely feeling for a dad, when the Court removes physical custody from him and he is told he can “visit” his kids only by arranging these visits with an ex-spouse who often is just as responsible and immature as the guy and equally responsible for the couples/ families break-up. And then you realize you have to pay for the right to see you kids...and you more oft than not, get to pay for your ex’s attorney fees! It’s not a pleasant remembrance and I am sure these feelings still occur.
Oh well, I digress...

This is a sad story, to be sure, but what makes is crazy? Seems like a pretty straightforward abduction by a noncustodial parent? Am I missing something?
