Thorson from Northwestern out on torn ACL

Just after he decided to come back for his 5th year, what a shame.. I feel bad for the kid and hope it doesn’t effect him as I wish no serious injuries on any player regardless of who they play for..

Iowa fought hard to get Thorson to come to Iowa. He is a good QB and I wish him a speedy and full recovery!

My daughter goes to Northwestern. She knows him and said he is a great guy. Coaches should not have called that play. I feel bad for this kid. I hope he heals fast!

If Thorson cannot play next year for some reason I’m sure they have another thin, white brainiac QB in the hopper who knows how to scramble away from our ends, run toward the sideline, and throw a perfect ball 27 yards downfield like a laser to a NW receiver for a TD. This situation reminds me of Jake Duzey. Except he hurt his in March during spring practice. Losing Thorson or not having him 100% healthy huge blow since you figured they'd rely on him throwing more next year with Jackson's graduation.

They ran a reverse with a throwback to Thorsen. He was tackled along the sideline resulting in his injury.

Have to agree with you because even when he’s cleared to play he’s always going to have that mental block thinking if he moves too quickly on the knee be injured that he’s going to injure it again ...

It’s football. He’s been tackled over a hundred times this year. Just bad luck.

Indeed. The play worked! Clayton just got tackled by the only guy who was within 10 yards and had a chance to catch him before he scored. That's football.
