Any word on how they're going on the day before it opens up to the public??

They tweeted out that the numbers are good. I'm buying 8 tomorrow...just hope we can get close!

We got our 4 season tickets plus 25 additional tickets Monday and the closest row we could get in any section with any significant number of tickets together was starting in row 20.

Looks like the south EZ lower sections are sold out besides singles. And the 3 sideline sections are all rows 50+.

28 seats across roughly. First 50 rows pretty much gone. About 9-10 sections worth of seats gone within those ranges equals about 14K seats sold so far. Not bad considering they are not even avail to the public yet.
Yeah -- I've been thinking that the crowd could easily surpass the 25,000 they're hoping for.

That would be way cool.

I saw some tix for sale on Stubhub to this event for $100.00 ea..... Somebody's trying to pocket a few dinero. The cheapest tix on stubhub were $42 ea when i last looked.

Let's sell so many that they have to add to the seating chart and move the crowd toward the north end zone! I'm sure lots of fans won't be too concerned about being close to the mat and will just want to be in Kinnick for the event. As noted above, everyone in the stadium will have a great seat with the video boards in there, anyway.

Gotta figure there could be a ton of walk-ups on 11/14/15 due to football fans who decide to check out the meet. I think the crowd very well could surpass 40k.

Just picked up 10 in Section 108, I would have purchased earlier but didn't think of checking until Oct 1st. I saw the thread tonight popped in my account number and bingo. The closest rows I saw were row 54.

Very cool to see fans buying in big bunches! Get 'em while they're hot, Hawk fans. . . .

Just bought 9 tickets. They're pretty high up in 124, because everyone wanted to sit together. I think they're going to CRUSH the attendance record

The tickets are selling like hotcakes, I just looked and if you want to sit together with two people you will have to buy in END ZONE in the 2nd Tier or whatever its called.

The clerk I just ordered my tickets from said they are well over 15,000 and expect to hit the sell out figure of 25,000 today.

The guys I was talking to a month ago, who are very close to the program, were making guesses of 30-40k. Not sure why they would stop at 25k people. Since they've already sold over 16k tickets why not make sure the record never gets broken again and push for 40k?

They were appraoching 25k sold 20 minutes ago and wait times to get through to the ticket office are 30 minutes plus...

How do we know if we were one of the 15,400 that gets the guarenteed seat in Carver in case of weather?

If you bought your ticket before they went on sale to the general public this morning then you are good to go for Carver. If you bought it after 9:15 this morning you will have to find another wrestling meet to use your ticket for or donate it to Wrestling for Life.

No, if you have season tickets, you still select your seats, just use the drop down box to say that these are for your wrestling season tickets. Those tickets are free.
Noon news reported that ticket office sold 18000 tickets this am in 3 hrs.

Wow, hope they will allow more than 25k!!!

They aren't stopping at 25k. Iowa Wrestling tweeted that there are "25k reserved" seats and everything over that is GA. So I assume they will sell as many as people will buy.

Not free. This event is part of the season ticket package.

Is there anyway to reserve tickets for the seats on the field? I'm coming down from Cincinnati with a bud of mine just our road trip for the year, and is there any cheaper tickets to the football game that night? All I've seen is $65. Thanks ahead of time

Field seating is students only. $65 will be the cheapest ticket through the university, you may be able to scalp for less on gameday, but I bought mine in advance.

@TheIowaHawkeyes: Over 20,000 tix sold for Grapple on the Gridiron! #ThanksHawks #dontstopnow #Hawkeyes

Thanks gonna be awesome when 20k plus fans go nuts when Mr. Gilman pins Klimara!
