It's supply and demand. I don't have a problem with the costs of season tickets, etc. I have a personal problem with our AD, so I haven't donated or purchased season tickets since 2010. When he's gone, I'll re-up.
Searched history of iowa-minnesota basketball rivalry and it was the framework used in the first article I found. Seems like a good sample size, covers a number of coaches for both schools and doesn't go back to "pre TV" days so it's a relatively consistent "era", if you will.

This is rich coming from a fan of the lowly Gophers whose home attendance fell last year by 16%!!!
Iowa on the other hand in 2016 was up 10%, 4th largest year to year increase in all P5 conference teams. Iowa's attendance put them in the top 20 nationally.
