Today, Tiger missed the cut for his 3rd Major in a row.
He said that his putting is letting him down. The truth is
that the 40 year old Tiger Woods is now in the twilight of
a once great golfing career. His 14 Major Championships
are second only to the 18 of jack Nicklaus. He would need
a miracle to get another one and that probably will not
happen.

Bottom Line: We are now living with some new young blood
in the person of Jordan Speith, Rory, and other talented pro
golfers. The game will survive without Tiger.

Rich Lerner said the Tiger Woods era was definitely over, and golf was now in the hands of the Spieth, McIlroy, and a few others.

I just hadn't heard someone in the golf biz state it that unequivocally before. Missing cuts in three straight majors will do that for you.

Tiger has a body that is beaten down by injuries and
a mind that is defeated by his ego.. As a 40 year old
golfer with those handicaps he should retire and avoid
future embarrassment.

I think he hangs it up for the rest of this year.
I think he gives it one or two more years.
For some reason I don't see him giving it a go on the SR Tour. Is that even around anymore?
I followed golf more than I ever did before because of Tiger.
Jack with major totals combined with his 2nds and 3rds in those events is GOAT and this understanding what Arnold and others meant to the game.

It wasn't just his putter letting him down. I watched half an hour yesterday and every time they showed tiger, he was hitting into or out of the rough.

I thought he was back?

A lot of Tiger's problems are of his own doing. I don't think he even gets Sneads record.
