There is no doubt or no comparison in the 2015-2024 time period. All 5 teams have about 5 draft picks, the NFL seasons played is equal, but catches, yards, and TDs as a measure of production are heavily in Iowa's favor.

Not that I am asking you do to more work here but how would the stats look from 2008-2024 as the hawks had several really good TEnds in college but not sure if they had the Pro success except maybe Moeacki in that 2008-2014 time period.

TEU as a label/slogan wasn't even a thing 25 years ago. Iowa created it, others have joined in for credit when it became a thing. I hope whoever started it copyrighted the term. It's good to be in the conversation.

The Iowa Hawkeyes are known as "Tight End U" for a reason. They have regularly been churning out star NFL talents at the position in recent years, ranging from George Kittle to T.J. Hockenson to Sam LaPorta. And there are more names to add.

That's why when Luke Lachey was entering his senior campaign at Iowa in 2024, there were lofty expectations, but he ended up logging just 28 catches for 231 yards.
