If it actually stays banned then something else will just pickup where they left off. There is way too much data to be mined and money to be made.

Just more proof that Trump will throw out any promise he has made to pick up popularity points. Hee spent most of the election demanding TikTok get banned warning that China was using us. Now suddenly China is his best friend.
If Biden had upheld and enacted "Trump's Ban", then Trump would be able to reverse it during his first month. This likely would give MORE credit to Trump and allow another arrow to be slung at Biden.
It really ended up being a lose lose for Biden so this route might be the path of lesser.
Those crazy promises were to help him win. He won. It will be interesting to see which if any of the promises get more than token attention.
He'll make a big show about deporting 100K illegals. But what about the other 11.9 million? Just to pick one example.
For another example, he helped bring about the Gaza ceasefire. But does anyone really expect that to last? What will he do when it doesn't?
My understanding is TikTok was an app used by teenagers and narcissists. Not sorry to see it go, however, I disagree with the motives behind banning it.
