Time to get concerned about Rutgers?

very worried actually. Their just the kind of team that gives us problems.

Let’s play them first and then worry. They’ve got a nice team but don’t think we should be scared of them.

The main issue that pops up right now is depth. Even when fully healthy they’re still only 7 deep. Their percentage of minutes played by the bench is the lowest in the conference per kenpom, although that’s skewed by the injury to Geo. That was a little surprising when I looked that up, because they were second in bench minute % last year.

I don’t think their freshmen center has popped so far, but they would need him back for Iowa to provide some foul trouble cover.

I’m still a little skeptical that a team that relies a great deal on energy can be good enough with their short rotation. To their credit, they’ve improved beyond just being an energy team, but we’ll see.

Then tosu comes roaring back in the second half.

The B1G is THE premier league this season. Hard to remember a time when this conference seemed to be such a standout from top to bottom relative to the rest of D-1 b-ball.
The not too shabby pu team that Iowa just beat is probably 7th to 9th best team in the league.
Any given night Iowa could find themselves in a dog fight. Next stop the goophs.

You can’t remember last March?

Sorry, I couldn’t help myself. ;)

The B1G’s been dominating America for the last few years.

Does the Gophers have two or three bigs inside that can hassle our inside game?

I thought ESPN had the final score wrong after turning the channel at halftime. Wow.

That’s not going to be good for Rutgers. It was also after OSU that Fran received a few days off questioning the integrity of an official. Coincidence?

lol against Illinois, RU had a 36-25 FT disparity at the RAC plus a bogus flagrant that turned out to be the difference in the game. Now they talk about officiating? Lol.

lord...
