Lots of great films. The Big Parade is a classic silent film that is still considered one of the best films ever made. Grand Illusion is in French with subtitles, the wealthy WWI French prisoners of war have more in common with the Prussian commandant than with their own comrades. Once seen it is never forgotten.

What are some of your favorites? I also love films like Action in the North Atlantic and Sahara that feature Humphrey Bogart. And 30 Seconds Over Tokyo was a favorite before I learned an uncle flew B25s in the China - Burma India-theater during WWII. (To be honest I think most of the films on the list are excellent.)

TCM has been on a roll recently. They had a disaster movie week. One I saw for the first time, "Zero Hour!" - the movie that inspired Airplane! Amazing how much of the dialog from Zero Hour made it into Airplane while being a drama.

Favorite channel, hands down not even close...

Battleground, Sahara, Bataan, A Walk in the Sun and Twelve O' Clock High are a few of my favorites from the list. I'll look for them on TCM. Thanks!
