...take a look at the twitter feed for #Jake Rudock for tweets from Michigan fans. It is not pretty! At one point tonight someone even hacked his wikipedia page! I personally don't agree with this treatment and am against it (especially for college kids), but this is not unique to Iowa as some of you tried to argue last year.

He threw 3 Interceptions and one was for a pick 6, over threw wide open receivers the same kind of stuff he did at Iowa. I am still convinced if we would of started CJ last fall we would of had at least 8 if not 9 wins. Rudock always chokes under pressure.

Well he must be good in practice for both KF & Jim Harbaugh to start him. I mean the kid did get to play QB at two of the great institutions in America.

I know people like to dog on him, but how many people can say they were the starting QB for two Big Ten Teams?

He will have some good games and some bad games. HE has to get over his throw to the sideline issue. He does not have the arm strength to make that throw, yet he continues to try and make it. I am sure Harbaugh will work with him and they will get better.

I wish Jake the best of luck, hope he has a good year.

He was the same QB last night that he was while at Iowa.
He had a lot of time to throw on multiple instances and missed receivers significantly.
He also had a couple of nice drives with some decent throws.
He's an average to below average power 5 conference QB.

I wonder how horrible Michigan's other QB is.

I was thinking the same thing.
I'm not as down on JR as some, but I was never overly impressed with him while at Iowa and wasn't disappointed that he left.
But if he was the best they've got for this year then they need a MAJOR upgrade going forward if they want to be competitive in the B1G east.

Looked just like a replay of many of our games last year. He ends up with a decent stat line (minus the 3 ints) but just has trouble scoring points.

I work with a Michigan die-hard fan. He says that they have a couple of kids and one recruit, waiting in the wings to take over the QB role next year. They are talking like these guys will be much improved over their current situation.

One thing I've always noticed about him is that he rarely ever looks to the left side of the field. His eyes are always locked right where he's going to throw from the moment the ball is snapped.

He was horrible tonight and showed exactly why he got benched by us. Horrible deep ball and telegraph his throws.
How bad of coach do you have to be to take 13 games to figure out he should be benched? Our head guy is even worse than I thought.

Agreed 100%. He's a bright kid, never a problem and will be a success off the field after this season.

I don't wish Jake any ill will for sure. I'm sure he's a really good kid. What he isn't is a really good DI QB, and that isn't changing anytime soon. He'll have some moments, just like he did at Iowa. Just not near enough of the good variety. But if Michigan's O-line and run game continue to struggle, Jake isn't the guy to save you. That's been proven over and over.

I wish him a good life. As for his football career, don't really care how good or how bad it goes at this point I guess.

We would have had 8 or 9 wins last year if the D and special teams had not let the Wisconsin and Nebraska games go. Not sure CJ would have made the difference there.

Well there were numerous times in the Nebraska game where we had wide open WR's for TDs that would of put Nebby down by 21+ so yeah Nebby would of been a win. He checked down like he is good at.

Difference is Harbaugh doesn't have a better option. KF did.

No way Harbaugh plays JR over CJ.

Jake is the poster boy for an average QB. He will be
remembered as a guy who telegraphed his passes,
could throw interceptions at key points in the game,
had no arm strength to throw deep passes.

I've all but stopped posting on here but have come to the conclusion you must be the most miserable person in the world. All you do is post negative crap all day long no matter what anyone says. I especially loved your statement, "I want coaches and players that actually want to win a game." Have you ever played a sport in your life? Yeah, those guys bust their ass for hundreds of hours a year and don't care if they win or lose. STFU

Another average player for Michigan was there running backs. Big, but with no quickness. Michigan running back reminded me of Weisman. Michigan needs better blocking from the OL, a quicker RB, and a QB better than Jake. It could be a tough season unless players improve dramatically from game 1 to 2.

Michigan didn't give up a sack last night to a very good Utah defense. I think they were #1 in the nation in sacks last year.

I was ambivalent to Jake's plight prior to the game. But I found myself rooting against him as the game went on. I do, however, think he will perform well over the year if he limits the Int's.

His deep balls weren't good. Like a Vietnam flashback, I was transported back to the Nebraska game
