Agree, there are some interesting Soph and Freshmen WRs on this team. They might even be a big strength moving forward.
Can't wait to see Tracy; his HS highlights are electrfying. Could he be the next "Tim Dwight"?
For many reasons, I want our WR to become more central to the offense this year (NS Heisman run this year or next, David Bell types, etc.). I keep imagining the 6-8 plus times Fant alone broke free deep last season and was not connected with for easy scores. What type of pass first but 50/50ish balanced attack would we have with WIDE RECEIVERS in that mix? Juggernaut.
Dwight's combo of speed and toughness is a rarity.
I hope for Tracy to have a happy, healthy, and productive career for the Hawks .... and hopefully one day folks will try to compare new great players to the standard that he helped to create.
Yea that's a bit like comparing Superman to Aquaman . Aquaman is Good but Superman is a legend known in every household.
I wonder if Fant declares for the NFL draft after this season? I hope he does not but I would not be surprised if he did.
The fact that Kelvin Bell has been quoted as to saying they are still going after another TE for the '19 class, even with Lee on board, tells me they have a pretty good idea on where he's leaning.
I think that is definitely part of the story. However, another element is that we lost Coons from the '17 class. Furthermore, last season we graduated Pekar and Wisnieski. We're back to needing a new infusion of youth and talent at TE.
Or it has more to do with Lee being the only freshman or sophomore on next years team at TE.
