Tom Izzo's No.1 Mission vs. Iowa on Tuesday

There is an actual Big 10 Conference Handbook that apparently comes out annually, which is what he is citing. I have found a few online. The most recent I have seen is for 2017-18, which is on the IU website for some reason. The sportsmanship policy seems to be the same in each and is at pages 84-86 of the handbook.

That's a real CF if I ever read one. It sounds like there should be a more severe penalty for actions that exceed a "Standard Disciplinary Action" (up to 2 games suspension and $10000 fine) by using the "Major Disciplinary Action". That descriptions states that the Exec Committee must approve those, and that they can exceed the Standard Disciplinary Action levels but cannot lower punishment to less than that ("Disciplinary actions exceeding those listed in Agreement 10.3.3.1 above must receive prior approval by the Joint Group Executive Committee (JGEC)."). So I think Howard could get slammed if the commish decides it's warranted. And it ever it was warranted, it is for this case..

That big ten tourney game against Mich St was the worst. They let Mich St hack all game. Hate the way they play ball. The refs let them get away with it.

I was there and will never forget how angry I was leaving that game.

Get Keegan Murray in foul trouble, the earlier the better. He'll dial up the physical play and don't count out some dirty for good measure. Izzo is going to go ape shit and get a red ass for the refs on every contact play involving the Murrays. That's the way I see it - ugly, lots of FTs, 2 min. tape reviews to determine a flagrant foul, to a few T's, etc.... anything to disrupt the game and complain.

The biggest key to slowing down Iowa is to get back in defensive transition. We are a far easier team to defend in the half court than we are in transition.

Definitely, its always been true with Frans teams.

His bigs are always good at establishing position early too.

The first 12 seconds is Iowas bread and butter.

You must be the most naïve individual on the planet if you do not believe there is a double standard. Izzo could WWF body slam an official and not receive a T.

Theres always a double standard for the celebrity coaches that have been around forever and have had national success.

Normal+ As someone pointed out ... "it's going to be a show".

Not sure if Iowa has faced an MSU Izzo team who have lost 4 of their previous 5, I don't think so. Furthermore, they have games @Iowa, Purdue, @Michigan, @Ohio State, and Maryland to finish the regular season. Izzo is undoubtedly feeling unusual pressure; his players as well. I think the ugly is dialed up for this one.

I think he gets a 2 game suspension and a $10k fine per policy from the B1G and the rest is up to Michigan. I imagine they go bigger. Five game suspension without pay is my guess but who knows. Maybe they fire him.

Which is precisely why I likely won’t be watching. B1G Ten officiating is a joke, and the conference has allowed angry elf and Bitchagain State to get away with dirty, thug ball for years. It’s ridiculous.

Maybe you'll watch the last three minutes then start a thread complaining about somebody playing/not playing.
