He’s defending the comedian. He’s passing the blame to the campaign for booking him and reviewing the material.
He mentioned in passing that it probably wasn’t a good idea to book a comedian with that style of comedy, but his main message was to mock liberals for being such thin-skinned little pussies.

I’d agree if this was a group outraged over a comedy show and trying to organize a boycott.

But in that environment, in a political rally, and especially given all the incendiary language coming out of the Trump camp lately, I think it’s reasonable to ask, wtf?

At some point, it’s not all coincidence, context, thin-skin, woke, etc. It’s just who the GOP is and what really gets them revved up.

As they say, it's a feature not a bug. They like a little racism with plausible deniability.

Congratulations, many of you. In your thirst for righteousness, you have once again rewarded a possible racist (Tony) or at least a possible racist joke.

Just consider the words of the joke, and there is nothing racist there. Add your projection of racism into it, and Tony is trending big.

Please, figure this out. Frustrate the racists by not taking their bait. Act according to what they say, not what you think they were winking. It takes their power.

They reviewed his material and removed a section where he called Kamala a c u next Tuesday.

The funniest thing I heard is that the joke had bombed at the club the night before and he had said something along the lines that it would go over better at the Trump rally.

If true it just proves he isn’t fit to be president. That dude should have never have been let on stage. Trump is in charge. What part of that doesn’t make sense?
The part where one would think there would be time to approve every word of every speaker, and also thinking that a speaker couldn’t go rogue.

Yes. This does seem like the campaign is lying about not knowing about the PR joke. But I do trust the WSJ, too.

I dunno about this one.

There was a post earlier in this thread saying something like “the Trump campaign approved the entire bit”, so clarifying.
Let's say the WSJ reporting is true. Trump spoke at the event after the comedian, why didn't anyone from his campaign tell him he needed to do some clean up for the joke? Seems like his staffers had no problem with the joke or they didn't want to upset the MSG crowd.

Based on that clip, or have you watched the entire segment? Also “mentioned in passing” 😂.

The “main message” of the clip provided was that people shouldn’t be upset with Tony, he was doing what he normally does. The entire segment was being critical of the speakers selected and their messaging in general.

Lol at you bringing this up four times a week.
Liar. Anyway…Should I bring up the time a presidential candidate actually told a room full of blacks they were going to be put back in chains, instead? Or mention the time his wife called Mexicans a bunch of tacos?

But yeah some comedian saying stuff he always says is so awful. Bill Clinton stuck a cigar in an intern’s pussy, BTW. But OMG…this comedian said something.

Yup. Could have been handled much better.

Read my comment on Hinchcliffe earlier in this thread you dull boy. Never mind, you'll just go back to saying the same seven things you always say, hoping so desperately for a laugh. I'm off to watch the World Series, have fun saying more of the same shit you always say.

Haha. I’d say something you always say, but I literally have no goddamned idea who the fvck you are. But it’s always good to meet a fan.
