10. I’ll vote Democrat because I can’t wait for college football season to be delayed or cancelled because the student athletes are union employees.
9. I’ll vote Democrat because I believe oil company’s profits of 4% on a gallon of gas are obscene, but the government taxing the same gallon of gas at 15% isn’t.
8. I’ll vote Democrat because I believe the government will do a better job of spending the money I earn than I would.
7. I’ll vote Democrat because Freedom of Speech is fine as long as nobody is offended by it.
6. I’ll vote Democrat because I’m way too irresponsible to own a gun, and I know that my local police are all I need to protect me from murderers and thieves. I am also thankful that we have a 911 service that get police to your home in order to identify your body after a home invasion.
5. I’ll vote Democrat because I’m not concerned about millions of babies being aborted so long as we keep all death row inmates alive and comfy.
4. I’ll vote Democrat because I think illegal aliens have a right to free health care, education, and Social Security benefits, and we should take away the Social Security from those who paid into it.
3. I’ll vote Democrat because I believe that businesses should NOT be allowed to make profits for themselves. They need to break even and give the rest away to the government for redistribution as the Democrats see fit.
2. I’ll vote Democrat because I believe liberal judges need to rewrite the Constitution every few days to suit some fringe kooks who would never get their agendas past the voters.

And the Number One reason I’ll vote Democrat is:
1. I’ll vote Democrat because I think that it’s better to pay billions for oil to people who hate us, but not drill our own because it might upset some endangered beetle, gopher, fish or frog.

If I decide to become black, I don't want to be put in chains.

Interesting how much Oil is on your mind. I liked #2 best.
I know - interesting that Obama received so much funding from them:

hile the BP oil geyser pumps millions of gallons of petroleum into the Gulf of Mexico, President Barack Obama and members of Congress may have to answer for the millions in campaign contributions they’ve taken from the oil and gas giant over the years.

BP and its employees have given more than $3.5 million to federal candidates over the past 20 years, with the largest chunk of their money going to Obama, according to the Center for Responsive Politics. Donations come from a mix of employees and the company’s political action committees — $2.89 million flowed to campaigns from BP-related PACs and about $638,000 came from individuals.

On top of that, the oil giant has spent millions each year on lobbying — including $15.9 million last year alone — as it has tried to influence energy policy.

During his time in the Senate and while running for president, Obama received a total of $77,051 from the oil giant and is the top recipient of BP PAC and individual money over the past 20 years, according to financial disclosure records.

Not really, he's a moderate pro oil guy. The interesting part is that you and your team can't bring yourself to see this.

Don't forget this. "I'll vote Democrat, so that way when my side starts the actions that will lead to war, I can blame the other side, and get away with no blame."

Or,."I'll vote Democrat, because I absolutely despise the upper-middle class, and I need to do what I can to destroy them."

Prove the article wrong then...
Why would I need to prove it wrong when I was agreeing with it. Obama is not anti oil, the oil contributions and his policies prove that. Obama is not a radical. He is a pragmatic moderate. Hence it is not really "interesting that Obama received so much funding from them." That is what you would expect.

"Moderate" - not sure I agree with your assertion of "moderate" when he was THE recipient of BP backing. Pragmatic, possibly...maybe more charismatic moderate. ;)

I was expecting to see a list of the top 10 Republican presidential candidates.
It would certainly fit within the argument. The Conservatives biggest issue is that they do not actually have any conservatives, let alone any true Republicans.
Though the same could be said about the other side as well. We mostly have a two party system of Lobbyism. Kind of useless if you really take the time to understand just how true that is.

You got over a dozen options and still can't find a real R? Maybe there are no true Rs anymore? What would a true republican look like in your view?

So you are appreciative when he does what makes his bank roll fat, regardless of who\what it hurts? Interesting.
I'm appreciative that you opened your eyes and realized he supports your team on this issue. I think that's admirable growth on your part. Pass the word to your brethren.

Don't you have someone very similar to this running? And how can you say true republican when you mean libertarian?
I do not believe for one that Dr. Paul is a full on Libertarian. He is more of the Republican mold of old. He's not for the tearing apart of Government bit by bit, but more or less just trying to get rid of the departments, policies, and portions of it that take away from Liberty.
His son as you referred to is not quite up to his fathers standard. I do believe that he's a little bit more conservative when it comes to sharing his true views, but I'm entirely convinced of him just yet. As of now he has my vote despite that.

We know, it's always an adventure to see what position you will pull out of your hat on any given day. It keeps you interesting.
That's what she said. No seriously, she said that.

Now Natural, my opinion changes here and there, but most of all never really changes anywhere. Bruce Lee said that you should be like water,...

You see when water is poured into a cup, it becomes the cup, when it is poured into a pot, it becomes the pot. Now water can either flow, or crash, be water my friend. Life is water. Be water.

Funny how your side rips the right for big oil support but plays deaf, blind and mute on their own party.

Didn't I just rip him for being an oil guy? Obama is no environmentalists. Although I'm not sure he ever aimed to be.
