Navy was the absolute last branch I considered joining back in the day. I would lose it if I was stuck on a sub or ship for an extended period of time.
Long deployments are the rule for many.My dad was in the Navy for over 25 years and I don't think he ever spent more than a week on a ship. I assume that has to be rare

they’ve thrown more TD passes than Iowa 😆These two service academies have offenses that make the Hawks’ offense look antiquated.
My grandfather went in on Utah Beach on DDAY, he fought in the battle of the bulge as well. He died 2 years ago at 99. Was a great man. Left me his German Luger he “retrieved” during the bulge battles. He also left me his war photo album.Navy is playing good ball today.
My FIL passed before I met wifey. He was a Citadel grad who was a Colonel in Army intelligence. He saw some bad skit. Coming home after the Battle of the Bulge, he told MIL that he never wanted to be cold again. Shad never made it home after an early attempt at bypass surgery failed.
I get a lot of pleasure target shooting with the Walther pistola he brought home.
RIP in peace Colonel Shad!

There's options....They changed the rules after WWII. If you wanted to get something out of Iraq, you had to be extremely creative
Was able to clear customs at BAF with a few items from a AQ cache we discovered way early years in Afghanistan. I guess the inspector was doing a few of us a favor. They changed the rules after WWII. If you wanted to get something out of Iraq, you had to be extremely creative
I remember HMMWV windshield frames were popular. I donated a bunch of stuff the the Airborne & Special Ops Museum in Fayetteville, NC. They cataloged it all with my statements. Who knows if it will ever makes displays, I envision it all like the Arc being stored away in the huge government warehouse 😂I have enough of stuff on video and computer. The only "tangible" thing that I brought back was donated to the Gold Star Museum at Camp Dodge.
I remember that there was a company commander and 1st Sgt that got kicked out of the Army for bring back stuff. I said to myself. Not going to be me. But a Soviet made detonator used by Iraq made it to Iowa. Being a Signal BTN, we had tons of big trucks with lots of space in them. CSB

Was thinking the same thing. They were talking like the spike being towards the Army player was the problem. No, the spike was the problem.Umm, so here is how close I have been paying attention to rules. According to Brad and Gary a spike after a touchdown shouldn’t be a penalty? When did they allow the post touchdown spike? Or are those two clueless and that was an obvious penalty for the spike?
It's remarkable that Army won 11 games refusing to throw the ball. Kirk's wet dream.
It gave me flashbacks. Terrible, terrible flashbacks. And you know exactly what I'm talking about.Great call. Navy runs a fun offense.
