we'll obviously pass FSU, and possibly Utah. I don't think anyone just below us did anything extraordinary this week.

Watch the voters jump Okie State over Iowa because they beat down the only team worse than ISU.

I think we are. We both started the same thread at the same time. Lol

Regardless, I haven't seen a team today Iowa can't beat. A lot of the teams ahead of the Hawks will be taking losses in the next 5 weeks. I think Iowa is around 4-5 heading into the CCG. Need to take care of business against Ohio Stae though, they are playing well tonight.

I would hope they're playing well as they're playing a high school team.

Very true, but it's a high school team that went on the road last week and beat an Indiana team that some posters are worried might give Iowa trouble.

I think we move to 10. Okie State does not pass us. Hell, we beat NW as bad as they beat Kansas. We pass Free Shoe U for sure. I think we pass the Utes. Certainly we should. They just got an ass whoopen!!!!!!!!!!

I think we should concentrate on Maryland first. We are one CJ away from getting our butt kicked.

Unfortunately, I think we're gonna have to play Ohio St in the CCG. Hopefully, our mobile qb woes are behind us.

I'm not going to say it will happen this year, but it wouldn't be the first time an Iowa team was a lot better on paper than Indiana and Indiana gives us a hard time. We don't match up well against their offense and they always seem to give us their best game.

The PLAYERS should concentrate on Marlyand first. What we as fans concentrate on is as meaningless as a velvet painting of a whale and a dolphin getting it on. I'm sorry but this idea that fans should take it one game at a time is one of the dumbest things ever.

Think we get to 10 at a minimum. We were close to FSU in the rankings so passing them is a given. Utah is not a blue blood so they will tumble. At some point undefeated P5 teams are going to pass 1 loss teams. So maybe we can sneak up to 9.

Thanks for the reminder. I was out of my head for a while. I am now back focused on Maryland. Whew. That was close. That could have cost the Hawks big time. I won't let that happen again.

Distracted fans no doubt caused Utah and FSU to lose. We can't let that happen to iowa!

With Utah losing, there will be no undefeated Pac 10 champ. This leaves the final four open to the ACC (Clemson), Big XII (Baylor, TCU, or OK St), SEC (LSU or Bama), and the B1G (tOsu, MSU, or Iowa). Right now we control our own destiny; win out and we are in. Rankings at this point are irrelevant, but we will probably be 10th passing FSU and Utah.

4 or 5 in the B1G? maybe.

Coaches poll already had Okie St above us. We were 13 last week. So #10 in the (better, more historic, etc) AP poll is a good possibility

OK State will pick up two or three losses in their last five game, so that will eventually work itself out. But I would be fascinated to have even one voter fill in this blank: I voted OK State over Iowa because their wins against _____ are more impressive than Iowa's wins against Pitt, Wisconsin, and Northwestern.

So it looks like Michigan State and LSU switched positions in the coaches poll. MSU beat Indiana, while LSU beat Western Kentucky (which lost to Indiana). Not really sure how the math works on that.
