It just dawned on me that Iowa has a really strong chance to "run the table" in the non-conference part of the schedule. The two B1G games (losses) have thrown me off. When is the last time that Iowa ran the table against non-conference opponents?

Also, if Iowa can beat Rutgers and Illinois, there's a real chance that it may not have a loss to a team that is rated outside of the top 100 in computer rankings. NCAA Net has both Illinois and Rutgers outside of the top 100. KenPom has both Illinois and Rutgers just outside the top 100. Sagarin has both Illinois and Rutgers just inside the top 100. RealTimeRPI has Rutgers inside the top 100 and Illinois well outside the top 100.

If Iowa doesn't stub its toe against its last 4 non-conference foes and doesn't gag against either Illinois or Rutgers, that would put them in a situation where they don't have a "bad" loss on the resume. When's the last time that happened?

That written, they could lose a crap ton of B1G games since the league is strong in positions 1-10 or 1-11. Going to be an interesting year.

I was going to post something similar. If we finish the OOC I think we get in the dance with a 10-10 conference record...The B1G will keep our SOS high enough that our NET rating will still be good enough
