Top College Coaches for Developing NFL Players

This is one of the most inaccurate, stupidest lists I have ever seen. Some of those guys don't belong anywhere near that list. Kirk belongs in the top 3 easily.

The person that put together the list has zero credibility. You can't put together a list like that and not mention KF. Especially since we rarely get 5 star talent on the team, yet he still puts damn near as many guys into the NFL as anyone else in College Football.

KF doesn't even get many 4-star recruits and some of those never materialize due their own fault.

And ol Ferentz is nowhere to be seen on the list.

I have talked to several NFL scouts who laugh when ask what school turns out the best NFL players. NFL players are selected based on natural physical talents and the desire they individually have to play football. For example AL produces more high draft choices lately. That, however, is because they have far more good players on their roster than anyone else. Some AL players have actually taken longer to make a splash in the NFL than other players who are not considered as physically gifted. This list, if it should exist, should be based on how well trained the player is when he reaches the NFL. But even then it has nothing to do with whether or not he is drafted and plays in the NFL. You can't "coach" NFL into a player.

What hurts Iowa in polls like this, is they are not getting kids in the league at the skill positions of WR, QB, and RB. Iowa is placing a lot of lineman that tend to have longer careers, TE's a lot of the spread teams do not use them, and DB's. Iowa is placing its share of people in the NFL, but really if you can play, it does not matter where you went to college, the NFL will find you, if you are good enough.

Although if you need some coaching then going to a school like Iowa helps since multiple coaches have NFL experience.

Sabin is #1? Does he really develop players or does he just get the best players? Stupid list.
Yep, same with urban. He doesn't develop either. He didn't recruit the best LB in the NFL from ohio (Luke kuechly) because he didn't have enough stars. I think it was Meyer that said "potential is a recruiting mistake".
