Props to Torbee for an excellent summary of the fans' emotions. I found myself nodding along with both "sides" as I read it, which isn't all that different than how I feel reading this board most days. I see both the half-full and the half-empty viewpoints. I want so badly to see our team relevant in Sweet 16s and beyond, but then I also remember how bad it was in the late 2000s. I don't know, I don't like reading these fake conversation type stories. That's just me tho, I am sure a lot of people like them.

I found myself agreeing with a bit of both sides. But, after; the mediocrity of the last several years of Dr Tom, the debauchery of Alford, and the crator of of Lick, I had washed my hands of Iowa Basketball.

With the growth of Fran, I have actually had hope again. But, I didn't want to jump back in with both feet so soon. After this team started out so well, I recorded every game with 90% of them losses.

I will still keep an eye on where they are and how they are doing. But I won't get pulled back in again until they start playing with heart.
