Separation week? Excited to find out more about our season outlook by end of week. Not excited about the challenges it entails. Not saying this as an excuse but it makes me chuckle a little.

Indiana will have been home for 11 days when we go to Bloomington on Thursday. Nothing wrong with that, Iowa also has a nice period of rest here. However after that going to Minnesota who has an EIGHT day break. Getting home around 1am Friday and having to be back on the court for a noon tip on Sunday in MPLS is stupid. Either way it’ll be a great test for the boys, a split would be a very successful week IMO. If we sweep this shit, order the shirts boys were winning this damn conference.

If Iowa gets one of these it's a good outcome. I'm not expecting any true road wins with the remaining schedule, but these two are the most promising opportunities to get one.

That Purdue game sure tempered expectations. The toughness they’ve shown all year clearly took a day off, but I feel like at least one more road win is in the cards to cement a solid ncaa seed. Too much character has been displayed to fold like that again.

I said a couple of weeks ago (well before PU) that I expected Iowa to split MN/IU and win the rest at home and lose the rest on the road. I still think that's what they do. If I were to pick, I'd go with winning at IU, losing at MN, but regardless, I think they split those two games.

After Purdue marched into Bloomingonion and won, I'm sure they'll look to appease their fans. This one should be tough.

The officiating will be quite a challenge at Indiana. That is a winnable game. Indiana has been getting blown out pretty much the last four games. So of course they'll get well against us.

If the officiating is only reasonably fair and Iowa doesn't shoot 4-20 like numbers from three this is a game Iowa should win. Having watched the Hoosiers they will get killed by Garza.

is 8 days off an automatic advantage? seems they're just as likely to be fresh as they are rusty?

If Iowa can hold serve at home I will be happy. The shooting does not seem to travel this year and teams are employing the "give Garza his 20 but deny JW and CJ" strategy. CJ has been struggling and Kriener has fallen off the cliff. Connor being able to knock down a few shots could be the difference between a W and L as there isn't any help coming off the bench.

People often forget that the other teams have to play the Hawkeyes, not always an easy task.

That’s the way I view it too. Collapse on Garza, you have Joe W and CJ waiting. I’m pretty optimistic about the remaining games.

Bigger athletes at the 4 could cause Conner defensive issues. No Cordell could bring foul jeopardy. Expect Indiana to get the usual home cooking.

This is a game the Hawks could get, but I’d expect the Hawks to be a slight underdog in Vegas.
