Good image on Trice foul of JBO. No doubt it is a foul and that JBO has started his shooting motion
Appears to be a Trice hold, definitely not a good angle to show a JB h&h.
This ^^. I'm starting to wonder if Gard was pissed at the reviews because they teach this type of fouling and they are very good at it. In realtime, it's hard to see the fouls they are committing, even the hook and hold Davidson committed on Murray. Why that was a double foul is beyond me.First....it was RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE REF....
Second, when you watch the video Trice clearly had grabbed JBO's arm....in live action I thought we got a lucky call. In replay, seeing it with less clarity-more distance-than the officials view, it was clearly a foul on Trice.
Wisconsin has gotten away with A LOT of fouls over the years....very sneaky and very good at fouling without it looking egregious. They often create contact below the waist during the shooting motion that is felt by the shooter...and is out of the focus of refs watching the shot motion.

So Davison had 5 at halftime am i rightWis. was grabbing at an Iowa player going around a screen all game long. Trice should have picked up his 5th foul just under the 3:30 mark, but they gave it to Davison. I figure Trice got 7 fouls in the game.
Trip and flop. Classic Wisky.
Wisconsin flopping 101
yeah, I caught that as well... 👍Late in the game, Davison was trying to nudge Murray out of bounds after he snagged CMac's missed free throw. Fortunately, Keegan got the TO first.

Good post. Davison has mastered his craft. If you watch him closely the guy is like a good pick pocket. He is always getting in some little jab, poke, push, knee, etc., but usually does it during other action. He pulled Murray backwards which should have been a flagrant. He clearly hooked Murray in plain sight. He was grabbing / holding Jbo the whole game. Dude is kind of a head case IMO. I have seen multiple games where he gets called for a foul on a cheap shot and then runs over to help the guy up. I think it was Penn State when he got whistled for a cheap shot foul and then ran over to help the guy up. PSU player ignored his help up so Davison locked it in his other hand and emulated helping him up.
This, I really wish someone would punch him in the face. Is that bad of me?
Where is McCabe when you need him! This, I really wish someone would punch him in the face. Is that bad of me?
On the bench with 5 fouls 😉Where is McCabe when you need him!
We don't agree on much, but this, I can agree with. This, I really wish someone would punch him in the face. Is that bad of me?
It was not a double but 2 separate fouls....there are only 2 reviewable foul plays that can be changed or added: cylinder and hook/hold. they are the only ones that can be changed and don't require the gm to be under the 2 min mark for review. So you cannot change the original push in the back by Keegan, but because they are required to review the hook and hold it is added to as a subsequent foul. As a result, both fouls are adjudicated. Thus a 1 and 1(I believe for Wis player) then the 2 for the confirmation of H&H on the other end for Murray...then you resume play at POI so Iowa's ball. Conversely had you called a double foul or double technical, neither is shot only fouls tallied against player and team total...but ball put in at POI. A flagrant is reviewed not to add another but to determine a common or upgraded to F1 or beyond. On the cylinder call that was made. Unless "intent" is determined on the BHD which I thought was Bohannon swinging through Trice and bloodying his nose? then the BHD is allowed to make a "basketball move" being allowed his own cylinder to do so thus contact made to the defender then is determined incidental by BHD but a cylinder violation(illegal by defender) or tough shit for the defender sticking his mug in there. Hope that makes sense? This ^^. I'm starting to wonder if Gard was pissed at the reviews because they teach this type of fouling and they are very good at it. This is exactly correct. He should have been out on that JBo steal and breakaway if that is the one you’re talking about.Wis. was grabbing at an Iowa player going around a screen all game long. They can't go back and review a foul (I think) but when they went back and seen who really caused the foul then they were able to correct the call somewhat. with the foul on Davidson.JMOThis ^^. wow and Bo called it but he hates us ! lol

I guess that makes sense in some backwards way, but I’m not certain you are correct. I seem to remember a play in the past couple years where an opposing team was called for a foul but then was overturned because it was determined that the Iowa player hooked and held. That being said, I could easily remember incorrectly. They can't go back and review a foul (I think) but when they went back and seen who really caused the foul then they were able to correct the call somewhat. with the foul on Davidson.JMO
IF a double foul, why did they shoot on both ends? I'll save you the trouble...they were 2 SEPARATE fouls...reread before replying againahhh it ended up being a double
Only cylinder and hook/hold can be reviewed to either rule a foul or take either away. All others cannot be changed only determined to be common or upgraded. EXAMPLE: Last year in a game I attended.. PSU @ Iowa. Original ruling was PCF against Joe T at 28' line in frontcourt. Because there was contact(Joe T's elbow to face of defender) the crew went to the monitor. It was determined that it was a "cylinder violation/foul" against the defender so the original PCF against Joe T was rescinded. Cylinder foul was called, not in bonus, so POI closest to spot of original whistle, Iowa throw in.I guess that makes sense in some backwards way, but I’m not certain you are correct.
