As an outsider of Iowa athletics and a staunch critic of your head coach I have to say you guys have one of the coolest game day occurrences in the Nation... The Wave. For those sick kids battling for their lives I have to wipe away the façade of an internet inciter on your coach and applaud his class.

The man lost his 22 month old grandchild and to see the emotion and joy he exudes when speaking of helping those sick kids out in some small way is heart wrenching. Children should never have to think about death before they even get a shot at life. I know this topic has probably been spoken at nauseam on here but I just had to let you guys know this makes Iowa winners in the real world.

Football is something we all love watching, playing and talking about but it's still just a game. For what really matters in life I salute you guys and your head coach.

He just critical of Kirk because Kirk can actually beat them.. Michigan fans want to talk like they are a major player but they haven't beat Ohio state forever, Michigan state had a winning record against them over the past 10 games,

Yes because I espoused on something nobody on here has ever questioned before. Speaking strictly in football terms your own fan-base is much like ours . You come from a small populated state, never truly considered a threat in your own division and compete in the perceived lesser division. Only major differences are you guys don't have the excuse of being a basketball school.

You pay 4.5 million dollars a year and seem to have good facilities and fan support. You certainly have the easier road to tow as far as powers in your own division. We have three schools who are nationally relevant and will prove to be a chore to just beat on the field every so often in Florida,Georgia and Tennessee. You guys have Nebraska and Wisconsin who don't recruit at the levels of Florida or Georgia and never will due to geography, admissions etc.

I am critical of stagnation, oh well bring out the stereotypes. Football is fun and I will never get steamed over text written by anonymous people sucking on a Hawkeye rattle with Kirk Ferentz's face on it.

I stopped reading after the bolded, as we just won the conference two seasons ago in 2015. Knowing how stupid you are, I doubt I missed much.

This guy deserves the flak for his previous trolling but he did say something true here. The national media and even the BIG network never gives Iowa any credit. I doubt they ever do consider Iowa a threat even after winning in 2015.

In what universe is "never a threat to win their division" a true statement when we just won it two seasons ago? Who cares what credit B1G Network gives us, it's a false and idiotic statement.

The word "Troll" is thrown around web boards when somebody has a take outside of the room they are inhabiting. The justification is that the person out of favor is catfishing for controversy or just throwing crap at the wall.

This is truly humorous to me because if we were sitting in a bar talking these same people wouldn't say half the crap they do under the cover of anonymity. Everything I have ever said on a message board is what I believe and would say the same to your face.

The person in question will always be quick to name-calling and running back to hide in a group of like minded people because they feel uncomfortable with opposing views.

You can always pick out the person who is insecure in their views or is just a plain old mental midget with thin-skin when they resort to child like insults. Open conversation is great until somebody says something you dislike.

I think that was his point. The preseason pundits will never pick Iowa to win the West. It's dumb to say never in anything but year after year after year Iowa is considered a real threat like one out of five seasons. You and I know that is wrong but the media doesn't care. Iowa and Kirk Ferentz don't pop the numbers. Unless it's Cowherd, he loves talking about Iowa.
