At the U of Iowa! Looks like it is on Tuesday. Donald is going to have the place rocking like when Iowa played basketball there.
Would love to see a video of one of our HROTers getting tossed out of the speech!
2 for 1 drinks!
There are videos out there of a grad student I knew getting kicked out of a McCain rally years ago. Same grad student 4 years later got admonished by Obama at a rally during his appeal for ObamaCare.Would love to see a video of one of our HROTers getting tossed out of the speech!
I wonder if Hatchet Jack will be working the door.2 for 1 drinks!
Most of them would probably be at a Bernie Sanders rallying chanting about how great $15/minimum wage, free college, free healthcare, and other free government entitlements will be.
His events are all free so maybe you could afford it. Come watch us chant for free stuff.

Is there free coffee there?
I haven't seen any at the other four I have went to. Free signs and stickers though. There is a decent orator at the Bernie events too.
So free signs/stickers? No free coffee? No free food? I expected more from the entitlement side of things.
How sad is it that the Republican party has been reduced to bashing education and healthcare? Most of them would probably be at a Bernie Sanders rallying chanting about how great $15/minimum wage, free college, free healthcare, and other free government entitlements will be.
I don't think I have anything planned. I'll probably check it out.Donald Trump at the University of Iowa Field House in Iowa City, IA on Jan 26, 2016

How sad is it that the Republican party has been reduced to bashing education and healthcare?
You serious? Do I even have to explain this to you? I can if you want. But it's pretty well accepted that the right bashes education whenever they get the chance and don't give two shits about healthcare. How are we bashing it?

Oh, bullshit. If the right cared about healthcare they would have given us an alternative by now. We've had to put up with 6 years of bitching and moaning from the right about how bad Obamacare is, how they will repeal it, and how they will replace it. But they never got around to doing the last part. The better part of a decade, years wasted talking about healthcare, but in all that time they never got around to creating an alternative? That's not the behavior of someone who cares about healthcare. The right cares about it, just can't afford to give it away for free. Healthcare especially....
Who said anything about it being free? What we want is the right for everyone to have it. And studies have found that tort reform would have a negligible effect on costs. Gonna have to do better than that. Why does healthcare have to be free? Why not work for/pay for insurance and put an end to frivolous medical lawsuits?
But onto education. Why does the right bash that? All we hear on the campaign trail is their accusation that college is a liberal propaganda machine and that going to college is an elitist thing to do.
Sorry. Healthcare is not an optional thing. Everybody eventually will need it. That's why it should be a right.Seems pretty simple to me. You work for/pay for it if you want it.
The thing that is BS is the fact if you don't have coverage you can pay a fine on your taxes?
Sorry. Healthcare is not an optional thing. Everybody eventually will need it. That's why it should be a right.
And as far as the fines go, I agree. It's bullshit to fine poor people for not being able to afford the world's most expensive healthcare.
Then shame on her. I went to Iowa and can't recall one instance of an instructor making things political. This still doesn't excuse Republicans trying to dissuade students from going to college. What's your opinion on the Republican attempt to allow lenders to charge interest while the student is in school?I went to college at a state university and I can tell you that the vast majority of my college professors were liberal. My biology class freshman year was a republican bash fest by the liberal instructor. She made EVERYTHING political.
I'm not talking about someone making $200k a year. Obviously they can afford it. I'm talking about the person making $20k a year. Why should they have to go without healthcare? It's BS to fine anybody who does not have health coverage. Why should anybody tell somebody that makes 200K a year if they need health insurance or not. Trust me, their money will be good at the hospital if they don't have coverage and need something. You should let the individual decide.
But onto education. Why does the right bash that? All we hear on the campaign trail is their accusation that college is a liberal propaganda machine and that going to college is an elitist thing to do.
I assume you already have your knee pads on.At the U of Iowa! Looks like it is on Tuesday. Donald is going to have the place rocking like when Iowa played basketball there.
By smaller government, they mean they will support smaller amounts of business. Only the biggest will receive corporate welfare.I'm convinced that part of the reason they hate education so much is that they rely heavily on undereducated voters. It's a lot easier to get them to believe that minorities and the poor are responsible for all their economic woes, that climate change isn't real, that there's a giant EVIL enemy always out to get us, that "smaller government" equals more freedom, etc. The list goes on and on.
