trump Refuses to Endorse JD Vance as His Successor

There's never going to be another election, remember? Oh, and why would he endorse someone 21 days into the term? He shouldn't even be thinking about that yet.
Because technically this is a lame duck term, and presidents always endorse their VP as the next candidate for POTUS. Presumably for all the same reasons they just picked them as their running mate.

I wonder if he will put a tariff on cocaine.

He's not supposed to be doing what he's doing right now with the Treasury, but no one is stopping him including our dictator president.
He is working under the authority of the President of the United States. Call him a debt and WFA 'Czar' if you wish. These positions do not need congressional or voter approval directly. Trump was elected by a majority of American voters to do exactly what he is doing.

These types of positions have been used by Presidents for decades. Fact.

Wow, someone that wants to wait more than 3 weeks to endorse the next president, 3.75 years away. What a travesty.

What a novel idea to make a politician earn an endorsement instead of just handing them out because of the D next to their name.
I guess it's not surprising considering his last VP didn't endorse tiny for president.

Why would he endorse anyone right now! Its probably 2 full years for that to start up again. You liberals are not happy that Trump is keeping his Promises so you go after anything! Get a life !
Keeping his promises?

He promised the war in Ukraine would be over within 24 hours of him being president. How's that going?
He also promised to immediately lower the cost of groceries and price of eggs specifically. How'd that promise turn out?

Another Lib circle jerk thread....
President Donald Trump declined to anoint his vice president as the heir apparent to the Republican Party or his Make America Great Again movement, saying in an interview that aired on Monday that it's too early for such an endorsement.
Telling that you just had to chime in on a "Lib circle jerk thread."

I guess that makes you part of the circle, patriot.

I didn’t see the clip itself so idk what his exact response was. A typical politician probably wouldn’t do so this early either, but knowing Trump he probably gave his usual meandering response.

I would agree it’s silly to answer that question 3 weeks in.

donald trump has made few things clearer than the fact that he does not view his sons as important political figures, now or in the future

his preference would probably be ivanka

Oh no he doesn't see his sons as important political figures, he sees them as a ticket to stay in the WH a third term.

It will either A be Don Jr. is president in name only while his dad makes all the decisions. Or B it will be that Don Jr. will run for president with his dad as the VP nominee and when he wins he will immediately resign and make his dad president again.

Because of the wording of the constitution it's actually an open question, even before Trump came about as to if a 2 term president could run for VP. The main issue is that the amendment says that you can't **RUN** for president again. Doesn't specifically say that he can't BE president again.

I read an article earlier that cited Jr. with 28 percent support among retrumplican voters.

Weird because the mentally fit former president didn’t endorse the Harris until the Democratic Party removed him and made him endorse her and yet he still didn’t 100% endorse her because he said he should have still be the democratic nominee.
But I get it. This is all about bashing Trump and the Republican Party when you think you have a great burn.

You mean the president didn't endorse anyone else for president while he himself was running for president???

Yeah, sure patriot. That's exactly the same.

I’m saying he regretted backing out and thinks he could’ve beaten Trump. Doesn’t sound like he truly endorsed Harris on his own. Did you want Trump to endorse Vance and then change his mind in 3.75 years?

Why would he change his mind?
