Trump Says Undocumented Immigrants Shouldn’t Get Trials Before Deportation

Shoot to kill rhetoric was intended to say "make it stop"....I really don't have any blood lust....

The point is we've seen this movie before several times...Amnesty for all, with a promise of "it won't happen again, I promise real nice"....after the second or third time, our side is REAL sick of the welshing.....
So if Reagan hadn't said it would never happen again you'd be fine with amnesty?

[I suspect Reagan didn't actually say it would never happen again. But who cares?]

Amnesty is a good way to lower the temp. If it is worth doing again in 10 or 20 year, I have no problem with that.

It's sort of like the biblical concept of jubilee.

They all claim to have voted for "deporting all the criminals", under the false propaganda that Biden had allowed criminals to run rampant in the US

When their folks got into office, they found out that most of the actual criminals had already been deported or jailed; so now they have to "follow through" with the deportation numbers they kept claiming, and start rounding up anyone.

And when that got harder, they decided to start revoking legal visas for students and anyone else here - folks with no criminal records or anything - and tossing them into camps w/o any due process (making millions for the private incarceration companies who helped get them elected).

And these alleged "conservatives" are all "OK" with this, because it's "foreigners" and "brown people". They do not care that it's costing the American taxpayer a fortune to pay for all these improper incarcerations and deportations. They do not care that it is disrupting the peaceful lives of students and families. They cannot admit that Trump lied to them, and are simply "going along for the ride now". Very much analogous to what happened in 1930s Germany.

But: Do Not Call Them Nazis.
Complete BS

“It is well-established that the Fifth Amendment entitles aliens to due process of law in deportation proceedings.”

I read that Maryland "dad" isn't a dad, those aren't his kids.

If you don’t believe in due process for aliens, you don’t believe in due process for citizens because all the government has to do is make a mistake or lie and claim you are not a citizen, and you have no way to challenge the mistake or lie.

Because it's in the US Constitution. The 5th amendment guarantees all persons due process, not all citizens. It was written this way specifically to protect people on US soil from tyrannical governments (i.e. Britain, at the time). You don't like it, go talk to your Senator.
However, “due process” for illegal immigrations can be something other than a full, formal court procedure. For instance, if records show beyond a reasonable doubt that an individual has committed a crime, than that is enough “due process”.

Only if you're going to deport them to their home country. And even then, they are allowed to challenge unsubstantiated rumors and false information.

If you're going to send them to a prison, you need to allow for actual criminal convictions.

Agreed…I was referring to a deportation process.

When the "deportation process" is relying on claims that they've engaged in criminal activity, they are absolutely able to challenge those claims before a judge.

Whose "reasonable doubt"? How is that determined?

What records? who decides it's "beyond a reasonable doubt"? Granted, the standard to deport is not the same as a full criminal proceeding but they still have to present that evidence to SOMEONE, and the person should have the right to face those accusations.

Which is still a form of due process.

No one, I repeat no one, has ever called for a full, formal court procedure. But it's very clear that the bar for "reasonable doubt" is so low that it applies to anyone who isn't white. Students on visas are being sent back to their home countries, but certainly not the ones from England and France. Latinos are being rounded up and sent to El Salvador if they have a suspicious tattoo. That is not "due process." That's xenophobic and fascist.

What's with your fascination for brown people? You make Rico feel uncomfortable.
