It is all a grift to siphon money to the ultra wealthy…..everything he is doing.
Those tax cuts already account for trillions of deficit and are looking to add another 4.5 trillion to the deficit. Bush's tax cuts added another 2 trillion. Add in the 20 year wars and all of those accounts for nearly half of the deficit. There was also bank, AIG, and auto bailouts. The COVID and PPP stuff.
It's almost like we do have the money but the Republicans were steering debt into votes to push for austerity for the working class but socialism for themselves. It's the same tactic they are trying to use to bleed out SS and the USPS. Republicans are the party of damage and dismantle.

A balanced budget is an impossibility,.. a closer to balanced budget would be nice..
Every "businessman" knows the way to be successful is to decrease revenue and increase spending.

A balanced budget is possible, but it does require an increase in revenue one way or the other.
At some point even small increases in the deficit over time will lead to a default. That would be far worse than an increase in taxes.
