Didn’t economists also say that inflation was the result of supply chain issues post pandemic? I mean if you’re going to tell a story of mitigating factors you should use them all. Even after that revised reduction the jobs growth was still 2.1 million over the trailing 12 months 2023-2024. Not too shabby.

Remember that Trump lost 2.7 million jobs under his watch. It will probably be worse than that over his next term. Good luck.

From a pure fairness perspective I'm not why tips shouldn't be taxed vs income from other types of work. From a corruption perspective I imagine this has the potential to open up all sorts of grift. People changing their pay structures to be more tip based. Finally many people complain about out of control tip culture what do you think will happen to tip culture when you incentivize it?

If anything I would like to see a simpler tax code, continuing to add more categories of income just makes taxes more complicated.
