Trumps gets endorsed by KKK, Hillary endorses KKK.

I shall never fight in the armed forces with a negro by my side ... Rather I should die a thousand times, and see Old Glory trampled in the dirt never to rise again, than to see this beloved land of ours become degraded by race mongrels, a throwback to the blackest specimen from the wilds.

— Robert C. Byrd, in a letter to Sen. Theodore Bilbo (D-MS), 1944[13][20]

It would perhaps add a shred of credibility to Huey's argument if he could post even one letter or quote like this from Trump.

But, I suspect that shred a credibility is a shred too far for Huey.

For someone who doesn't give a shit, you sure do seem hot and bothered in this thread.
I am hot and bothered by it. It doesn't matter, just like the Hillary thing with Byrd doesn't matter. Of course we can continue down this road, and I can say Hillary is a murderess because of her role in Benghazi, or she is a swindler because of her role in Whitewater, etc etc, etc.

Hard to quote Trump on something he refuses to say. Namely, that any and all KKK endorsements shall not even be considered for his campaign.

All of which Byrd apologized a thousand times for. He dropped these beliefs over half a century ago.

As opposed to Duke, who still gets off on white supremacy today.

Let me try and wrap my mind around this: you won't give Trump a break for his father SUPPOSEDLY being in the KKK (which he wasn't) but you forgive Byrd FOR BEING A GRAND WIZARD because he said he was sorry?

Does this make any sense to you? Seriously, is your brain physically turned 90 degrees to logically make this type of connection?

You people are confusing yesterday's cross burning, lynching KKK with today's moderate, socially conscious, community active KKK. Big difference. Lots of KKK guys I know referee midnight basketball leagues and hold car washes and bake sales for charity.

I told ya!

Sure did, it was that he backed away from the disavowement and lied about it a day later. Anyone hating on hill for dishonesty while supporting Trum s a fraud.
Much like Obama with the good reverend. And ya'll have moved on from that. Why you not giving Trump the same courtes

Obama renounced the rev. When Trump renounced Duke, I was fine with him. It was that he went back and lied to us that changed my tune. He decided the next day to float the idea that he had no idea who Duke was or even what white supremacy was that put the mark on Trump. Trump tried to wink at the Duke supporters. I'm not giving any quarter to those who toy with genicidal notions which is a sin both Trump and Cruz are guilty.

And you believe Obama on his rendition of his relationship (other lack there of) with his long time reverend?

Sure. Just as I was ready to believe Trump until he equivocated. Obama said and did the right thing in a far less egregious affair. Trump started to say and do the right thing, then decided to do the wrong thing.

And why must we even bring Obama into this. Trumps actions stand as wrong on their own with no need for comparison. Do you condemn Trump for reaching out to Duke and his supporters? Don't you think he should have renounced his endorsement and stuck to that positions?

Byrd was a Grand Wizard? Link?

Obama is brought into this as he was "associated" with a person that IS racist and a bigot.
