SIAP Very interesting documentary series on the cold war from WW2 to now. Lots of stuff I knew but a lot I didn't. I think it would do a lot of good if everyone on this board watched it.

Also, it reminds me again that I wish Condoleezza Rice would run for president. I would vote for her in a second.

Had the chance to see Condoleeza Rice speak at a conference one.

Super impressive and smart woman. Subsequently, I read a couple of her books and my initial impression was hammered home even more.

I would like to see the GOP go back to this type of leadership and stop cosplaying clownshow reality TV as politics.

I'll check it out I've gotten into the Cold War espionage history lately.

Also I was listening to this song today, weirdly.

Nice to see Netflix putting out some quality stuff with their recent price hikes...a lot of there newer stuff has been subpar. I'm going to check that one out. The newest Charles Manson doc is really well done, although, it gets into some heavy conspiracy theory stuff.

The only real way for this to happen is for Democrats that call for this sort of thing, to cross party lines and vote for the moderate R. Because if you keep calling for moderates like Kasich and Rice and Haley but keep voting for crap ass Democrats like Harris and Bernie, you'll never see this happen.

To answer your question before you ask it, I could consider voting for the right Democrat. Shapiro if I learn more, Manchin, Federman etc

I've been voting for nearly 40 years and I've never voted a straight party ticket. I'm registered, "decline to state." In the last election I voted for candidates representing at least three political parties. I'll continue to do that.

My biggest problem with the republican party is that it doesn't exist anymore.

Thank you for the recommendation. I will definitely check it out.

And I agree about Condi. She would be infinitely better than the last two clowns.

The book Chaos is great, the book the doc was based on. The documentary just scratches the surface. It's an extremely fascinating, if somewhat rambling, exploration of the era and events. And while it is very conspiratorial, ultimately the author fully admits that he can't prove the most intriguing connections, and doesn't have the smoking gun. He doesn't really even have a definitive theory. That's what makes it really refreshing as far as conspiracy books goes, and I'd say more credible.

The CIA connections are very suspicious, but potentially totally coincidences. And even if there were real connections, they didn't necessarily have anything to do with anything.

The best part of the book is that it blows up the Helter Skelter theory as the BS that it is.

Don't run criminals and maganzis and some of the moderate left would come over. But you guys keep running and voting for the worst of the worst. Gives the world an idea of what kind of stupid and/or degenerate scum you are.

Condi didn't have much flex on the Bush team, at least the first term. But I agree that she would be an excellent choice in the current landscape.

God I love the narrative that it’s the fault of democrats for who the GOP nominates.

My favorite narrative? The fact that democrats have no levers of power at all save for district judges. Rs? Presidency check. Majority in House and Senate check. Ideological majority on Scouts check. Majority of Governors check.

Lol. F’ing losers you all are. Win elections and then you can discuss narratives.

Know what MAGA actually stands for?
Majority Again. Governing Again.
