As of now, the first two exhibition games are listed as "BTN Plus" games, which require the subscription in order to watch. Last year they were listed that way, but switched to BTN2Go prior to the game, so you could simply login to your TV provider account and watch for free. Hopefully it's like that again, but as of now, it looks like you won't have a chance to watch until November 13, and that's on ESPN3 (online only).

I know it's 2015, but this is still frustrating.

btn plus was only $10 per month last year, but I'm guessing these will end up on btn2go. they started doing that a few years ago, even for the mc22 games

The BTN Plus stuff normally switches to BTN2GO. It's the damn ESPN3 that I always have an issue with. I have WatchESPN through DirecTV but ESPN3 comes through your ISP and mine doesn't carry it.

I've been able to access "Espn3" programs with my directv login since about January. Go try it by using your directv login credentials and click on an espn3 event, and see if it lets you now. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

On another note, I emailed BTN asking about the BTN Plus designation being placed on basketball exhibition games this year, noting that last year it was this way but switched to BTN2Go prior to the games. I asked if the same would be happening this year. I got a canned response, and when I responded, asking them to address my question specifically, I got a response saying that the canned response was the correct response. So, no clarification.

We can hope I guess.

Thanks for the info. I'll give it a shot. I know WatchESPN was always tied to cable subscription but I thought ESPN3 was tied to your ISP. So people with Mediacom could watch it but since I had Imon they don't have an agreement. Maybe AT&T struck a deal with them.

yea Give it a shot. It all started working for me in the spring after Directv added the ESPN agreement. Before, I could get ESPN3 Content with my ISP login, but not WatchESPN, and since, I've been able to get both WatchESPN and ESPN3 content with just my Directv login.

When would be the best time to sign up for BTN Plus? an hour before the game or just wait until I know that it's not on BTN2GO and miss a few minutes of the game?

Preseason home games might be on the Mediacom channel but you probably couldn't find out about that this early. Also sometimes in the past they have been on KCRG.

Not sure, but I just looked, and Btn still has it listed as 'BTN Plus subscription required.' Last year it changed several days before, if not a little more.

The good news is, only the preseason games are listed as btn Plus, most everything else is Espn3 that isn't on TV.

Still listed as BTN Plus. I guess I'll have to pay sometime Thursday unless it switches last minute.

Is the btn plus actually on tv or Internet? I know, probably a dumb question to most

Not a dumb question at all as I have no idea either. We'll be dumb together. I would assume internet based. Never heard of that channel before although the Hawks used to play on ESPN+ back in the day and that was on TV. I will say there were "not so legal" streams last year that were available.

You were right!! Awesome! Man last year sucked for the ESPN3 games. Glad they struck some type of deal. Thanks for the heads up!!

if it were going to be on Mediacom exclusive we would know by now. I don't have a problem paying for an exhibition, or if people choose not to. those games probably don't even recover their production costs. I'm guessing this is a "STUDENT U" which I also enjoy.

Both exhibitions are on BTN plus, as is the live coverage of the Grapple on the Gridiron. That should do it. So I figure I'm paying $3.33 per event to watch, since I'm only doing a one month subscription. I can live with that.

Does anyone know if "BTN Plus" is only live or will each game be available for the for viewing later through out your subscription?

Is BIG Ten Plus only available via stream or can it be available per TV subscription? .. I have a feeling this is going to wind up on BIG2GO anyway.

Does anyone know how you go about cancelling the BTNPlus subscription? Can you do it online or do you have to call someone and wait on hold for an hour?

well, I caved, and just purchased btnplus team pass monthly for $9.95. There's a box to uncheck at checkout regarding whether you want it to auto-renew. I unchecked the box, so it shouldn't auto-renew.

This is solid logic, you sold me, and now they got my $9.95.

I did the same thing. I only clicked to make sure it worked though, and didn't actually watch any action, so you're ahead of me there!

Count me in, gonna have to watch it on my phone, pretty much did away with the ole lap top. I too unchecked the renewal box, hope that takes care of it. Had to check these new comers out.

I am? Did you not read that I watched soccer? But I just had to know the thing would work tonight. I feel all "icky".

Now, I wouldn't mind a cheap package to watch Aaron White and Gabe Olaseni. :)

Announcer: "Germanic wordzin eick lotz of eick eick! Aaron White Gooden light hairin MONSTER DUNK!!!! Defensinein struddle dumbkoff! Yah! White! White! Whitereick Dominatein Achtung Europe! Yah! Dackzund Gooden Octoberfestin eick, eick!!! Eiiiick!!!!!!!!!!"
