Two bowl games in a row...

Iowa comes out and gets their ass kicked. How does this happen? I find it unacceptable.

By deduction, next year's Iowa team will be much better than this year's. Ass kicking brings out hard work and new attitude.

For Iowa to compete in a bowl next year, they just have to play lesser talented teams than Tennessee and Stanford.

Last year's game I sort of equate to our 2009 beat down of S Carolina. At the end of '08 we were coming on very strong and had a lot of energy and motivation going into the bowl, whereas SC was pretty lethargic and played a poor game. Last year the shoe was on the other foot with Tennessee. That win was supposed to launch them into a memorable 2015 season which didn't end up happening.

Tonight we were just overmatched, plain and simple. Not sure any level of preparation, game planning, or energy could've overcome the talent gap.
