Two Mile Trains…..

Passing thru western Ks. On the way home..here at Fowler Ks. There is a train on a side track that is a little more than 2 miles long waiting for another train to pass on the track… 2 miles long, 3 engines in front, 1 engines in the middle and 2 engines pushing…this trip U have been impressed at the length of freight trains that traverse western America. Lots of “Prime” and “Wal-Mart” products being moved.

DPU trains. Huge money savers for the carrier. Saves on fuel and labor.

The name on the side isn't always an indicator of the owner of the car. It's a lease by load deal. The name on the side is usually for advertising. So, Walmart/Amazon own the cars but often times lease it to other companies.
