So were Wirfs and Epenesa. Both got a rankings bump on Rivals last year after doing well at the Army Game.
Sure. Getting into one of those games obviously gets a lot more eyes on you, especially for a kid from Solon. If he plays well, he's sure to move up. Doesn't change what type of player he is one bit, of course, but just a matter of exposure.
That's awesome! Hoping he and Noah Shannon provide the desperately needed help at the DT position! The 2019 class hasn't provided a viable prospect at that position yet making these 2 that much more valuable.
Those two plus last year's DT recruit Daviyon Nixon coming it at semester.
Is that a sure thing? I know that's the plan and I think the guy might have been more than a little under rated. Do you have an opinion on which one/s have the best shot at contributing next year?
Nothing's a sure thing, but yeah that's still in the plans. Nixon is playing pretty well for Iowa Western this year and up to 305 lbs, so I'd probably pick him if I had to choose one, especially since he should be on campus for spring ball next semester. There will still be an adjustment period there though like we've seen with Lattimore and other young DT's.
