Damn, that's bizarre no doubt. The ride wasn't going to last forever, at least he had his chance. Did he blow all of his money or something? Or was he just that committed to wanting to be back in the NFL or something?
I've heard a lot from people close to the situation in regards to what the situation looked like from the 1st responders vantage point...... i think the coroners report will let you draw your own conclusions, depending on how much detail they give... .
Why so cryptic? You are making it sound like suicide. The coroner's office just stated "no sign of acute trauma". You obviously want to convey that you know something. The way you went about it isn't helpful.
Seems nothing to apologize for. You heard something and you shared that. People are so sensitive. About things that you shouldn't be sensitive about.
Sympathies to the UofI family on this sad loss. Way too young and sorry to hear this tragic news.

IMO, speculating on Tylers cause of death is poor form.
Tis the way people are, unfortunately more signs are pointing to it being true.
I am still stunned and shocked. It seems so little ago he was on the field as a Hawk, and in the pros. Heck he was a poster here on HR before the coaches put the kabosh on social. Unreal... RIP Tyler, T & P to the family and friends.

TSash09 or close to that. Some of the long timers here will remember it better than I do, but I do remember him posting after committing to the Hawks and in his first season, silent after that.

I assumed that he accidentally took a bad combo of pills at first. I have know idea, but they were close on the aau basketball scene. My guy said Tyler could hit it from half court almost every time. His range was sick. He said Tyler was a brick shithouse and wore him out whenever they played against each other. He said he wanted to play basketball at Iowa, but he was only offered a football scholarship. Very little info, but it was from a friend of Tyler's.

I know these are all over but Herzlich is the first former teammate or friend I have seen openly allude to suicide and say he talked to his friend about what happened.

Rillo, that's fine if you want to be that way. Take a look at the second part of this thread, it is the way people are. Condolences and then questions.
I hope you don't mean that the first responders were talking to non professionals about what they found. People in those types of jobs should be discreet. I remember once a deputy sheriff told his wife about the details pf a teenager who died (rather bizarrely) .and she told her fellow workers at an office where my daughter worked. The wife, at least, should have kept her mouth shut. Not sure how much a deputy is allowed to tell his wife.
