The judge sent the jury back to continue deliberating in the case of William Porter, the first of six police officers to be tried in Gray's death from a neck injury sustained while in police custody.

Well, it's an official mistrial. Pretty big blow to the DA. The case against Porter was supposedly the easiest to prove and considered a slam dunk guilty verdict. It also sounds like leveraging the conviction against Porter was the major component of the strategy in the Goodson case. They wanted to be able to bargain down Porter's jail time in an attempt to get him to flip against Goodson. Won't surprise me if some major plea deals are offered now.

The DA is so out of her depth on this. She got bullied into charging these officers by the local and national race hustlers. They have all been way over-charged and there is no where close to the level of evidence to get convictions.

This probably also guarantees that those additional trials get moved outside of Baltimore.
