@UIBaseball looking to win series vs #12 Oklahoma State this afternoon!

Iowa Baseball has opened up a can on Oklahoma State in todays rubber match. Currently up 11-1 bottom 8! Another huge series win at hand. Chips and Salsa!
Awesome!! Thanks.
How are we lookin as far as Big tourney? Will we make it? Thanks

I always get excited when I see the Hawks playing a series like this, because they're obviously a really good team. And then I look at the B1G standings and see we're 7th. I admit I don't pay much attention to college baseball, but it seems like we'd be closer to the top of the B1G.

Not to sure on the way the B1G tourney is run so can't really be sure.
Got the 11-3 W today. Series win!

I was watching Live stats here https://hawkeyesports.com/schedule.aspx?schedule=435 and texting a buddy updates that lives down south. the Des Moines Rag had an article the other day where 2 pubs. that follow college BB, both had them on bubble. 1 had em last one in and the other last 1 out. this. has to help with the weak part of the schedule remaining

Iowa has played by far the toughest conference schedule so the lower seed isn’t terribly surprising. Fortunately they finish with the bottom two teams so hopefully can get up to the 4th/5th range.

How many teams get into the B1G tourney? Is it every team or top 8 or something? Can't remember from last year.

These experts about the NCAA tournament were unanimous on their need to beat OSU at least once, if not twice.

Mission accomplished! Now, they can’t let down their guard against the last couple of cellar dweller teams to finish out the regular season. If they get up to the Top4 in conference then their difficult conference schedule should get them in.

Yes, the biggest thing Iowa can do now is win as many games as possible. The last 2 weekends will not help the RPI, but they can help in Big 10 tourney positioning. A 5-1 record could get Iowa to 4th or 5th. But really any of the top 7 teams in the league could win the conference tournament. Iowa, Michigan, Indiana, Purdue, Ohio State Illinois, Minnesota are all capable. It would be a shock if MSU, Rutgers or longshots Nebraska an Maryland did much in the tournament if they made it in.
