Or some teams don't put any emphasis on the dual meet season? At some point, Ryan's seat will get warm.
That's a top 3 gig.
Maybe from the sitting on a nice fresh pile of dung in his pants he unleashed when Dresser bumped up his last two weights, and they both won close bouts. It was impressive. At some point, Ryan's seat will get warm.

Dresser? I thought it was UNI and not ISU.Maybe from the sitting on a nice fresh pile of dung in his pants he unleashed when Dresser bumped up his last two weights, and they both won close bouts. It was impressive.
You got me, my bad, I was still enjoying the aftershock of the ISU Cornell bout.Dresser? I thought it was UNI and not ISU.
ISU had a couple guys bump up against Cornell, UNI didn't have anyone bump upAlso who bumped up for UNI? Looks like they all wrestled their normal weights.
In Tom Ryan's case, he hasn't exactly been "lighting it up" in tourney competition either.Or some teams don't put any emphasis on the dual meet season?
That will change. Quickly. Dresser has changed a steaming pile of poo six years ago into a legit top 10 or even top 5 team. And they’re much younger than most teams around them. Some people who keep ragging on Dresser are in denial. In Tom Ryan's case, he hasn't exactly been "lighting it up" in tourney competition either.
Listen, I get the sarcasm in your post, and I certainly realize how desperate KD is for any success after 4/5 years with so little to show.
Edit...this is already Dresser's 6th year with no top ten finishes at Nattys for ISU.

Dressers team is tough, I’ll call it, 4thWe will see.
Wrestling at Nattys is a three day grind. A good dual team doesn't automatically equate to a good tourney team.
They're a young team compared to who?
Half of their lineup is unproven. That's a lot of pressure to put on the other 5 starters. Add in a misfire somewhere else along the line and they won't land anywhere near a team trophy.Dressers team is tough, I’ll call it, 4th

I mean Realbuto was ranked 25 for a reason. He just DNP at Vegas and dropped from like 12-14 to 25 in the rankings. I wouldn’t call that firing on all cylinders.Realbuto and Happel , I did not see these guys coming. Dresser has these guys hitting on all cylinders.
i think he's a 157 making an enormous cut for the team. What happened to Sammy Sasso? He used to be a NC contender.
Which doesn’t make sense. Paddy hasn’t been good. The combo of not qualifying 149 and Sasso at 157 I bet is better than the current combo.i think he's a 157 making an enormous cut for the team.
and that's where bad coaching incentives come into play. paddy was the #1 overall recruit in his class. he HAS to be good, so he's going to get a lot of run that he hasn't deserved on merit alone.Which doesn’t make sense. Over the past 6 years the 4th place team averaged 79 points. That's a lot of ground to cover and I don't know where they'll get it from. They're entire team could place 5th and they still don't hit the mark.
A perfect tourney could get them 4th, but with that run they'll probably have to send at least 3 guys to the finals to pull it off.
Personally, I don't see that happening. But I'm wrong a lot. At least according to my wife ($10 per pic)
I would wager they do not bring home a trophy(top 4) at nationals.Dressers team is tough, I’ll call it, 4th
Iowa states biggest chance to rise up the podium is for Carr to make the finals and Yonger & Johnson to place top 3.Exactly my point.
Just look at Coleman's run at Nattys last year. He had a great run on the backside to AA. But he got his ass kicked yesterday by a guy from Oregon State that he beat last year.
Everything, and I mean everything, has to go right for ISU to finish top 5. Not seeing it with basically 5 dead weigh
It's still December. Lots will happen before March.Iowa states biggest chance to rise up the podium is for Carr to make the finals and Yonger & Johnson to place top 3.
I just don’t see how Carr makes the finals. He will have 2 losses to OToole and finish 2nd in the conference. Highly likely he ends up the 4 seed and has OToole again in the semis.Iowa states biggest chance to rise up the podium is for Carr to make the finals and Yonger & Johnson to place top 3.
I thought Carr had decided to go back down to 157.I just don’t see how Carr makes the finals. He will have 2 losses to OToole and finish 2nd in the conference. Highly likely he ends up the 4 seed and has OToole again in the semis.
Go watch the match vs Kennedy and you can see how Carr can make the finals. He is capable of winning 165, no doubt. It is no guarantee that O'Toole beats Carr twice. I would put Keegan as the favorite but Carr is one of the most talented wrestlers in the country. If he goes into NCAA's with only loses to Keegan he will get the 3 seed likely with Griffith as the 2 seed. He beat Hamiti already earlier this year.I just don’t see how Carr makes the finals. He will have 2 losses to OToole and finish 2nd in the conference. Highly likely he ends up the 4 seed and has OToole again in the semis.
he can 100% beat o'toole. o'tool just went to the brink with peyton hall.I just don’t see how Carr makes the finals. He will have 2 losses to OToole and finish 2nd in the conference. Highly likely he ends up the 4 seed and has OToole again in the semis.
I was thinking it was just a world class troll.Like I said , I did not see this coming 🙃mixed up dresser with Schwab (my bad I woke up tired this morning) UNI is looking good nevertheless!
