There must be some secret,intelligent reason why the Hawks run to the short side of the field so often, right?

We are attempting to catch them off guard because they'd never anticipate us being stupid enough to continually try. Well...jokes on you Purdue, we are plenty stupid.

The defense is dictating play calling, really! They know how Iowa will react to a certain formation, and change the play. Defences are getting them to run into the boundary. Kirk believes if we execute that play is ok.
