Caught up with Detroit DE Cedrick Lattimore, who visited Iowa today with four of his teammates. The 6-foot-4, 242-pound Lattimore is the only one with an Iowa offer right now. The other four are Chauncey Golston, James Ceasar, Lindrell Mitchell, and Nate Boleware.

As for Lattimore, he said he enjoyed the visit. He followed the defensive line around at practice and said it was pretty intense. He likes the defensive scheme and feels like it would be a good fit for him.

Meeting with the coaches, they told him there's a chance to come in and play at DE. Nothing will be given to him, he'll have to work for it, but the opportunity is there, Lattimore said.

Leaving Iowa City today, Lattimore said the Hawkeyes are right near the top of his list. He doesn't want to name any favorites yet, but they're right there.

Currently, he holds scholarship offers from Iowa, Toledo, Ball State, Bowling Green, Eastern Michigan, and Miami of Ohio.

Other schools showing interest include Michigan State, Michigan, Notre Dame, Minnesota, Wake Forest, and Northern Illinois.

Tomorrow, the group of teammates will be visiting Northern Illinois followed by Notre Dame later this week.
