Updated Playoff Grid as of 12/1

added this weeks spreads in as of today.. The team listed is favored by the amount in parenthesis..

There are still too many games left to play to get a definitive feel. Baylor will almost certainly lose 1 if not 2 games. Florida will win out. Clemson will win out. Ohio State has 2 serious tests remaining. Iowa has a good chance to win out. Notre Dame has to beat Stanford and Stanford has to beat Notre Dame. Oklahoma has several tough games, MSU is in trouble, Michigan has 2 losses, Oklahoma St. will not make it through unscathed. Bottom line. Other than Clemson, Iowa has maybe the easiest path to the play-offs. This has been great fun this year. Go Hawks!!!

Suterman - good points and it has been a really fun year. You add in the fact of the Conference Championship games and it is possibly complete chaos:

Potential Matchups of these teams (even on top of the regular season games in the spreadsheet):
Big Ten:
# 3 Ohio State vs # 5 Iowa or # 5 Iowa vs Michigan State (who would be in the top 10 if they get to the title game) or Michigan (top 10 by then if they win out) vs Iowa
Pac 12:
#7 Stanford vs # 10 Utah or USC (or my projected winner of that division UCLA). All really tough games for Stanford.
SEC:
# 2 Alabama vs # 11 Florida (will be top 8 by then likely at 11 - 1)
ACC:
# 1 Clemson vs a better team than most feel they are North Carolina (top 12 by then likely)

The hype will only grow the next two weeks as Iowa has two VERY winnable home games to get to 11-0 before heading to Lincoln for a tough game. By week 12 (NEXT Sat night), Ohio State or Michigan State are guaranteed to have another loss, Baylor, Oklahoma St, Oklahoma, and TCU will all have pillaged each other with head to heads, and hopefully LSU or Utah pick up another L with tough games. There potentially could be a whole LOT of two loss teams in the top ten here in about 3 weeks.

Anyone taking Kansas to cover that spread against TCU? 45 is a big number if you are giving points!

Updated from yesterdays game. Will reformat after Tuesday rankings.. Any teams that need to be added at this point? LSU is officially a goner correct?

Florida/Alabama winner gets a spot
Ohio State/Iowa winner (if both undefeated) get a spot
Clemson
Notre Dame or Oklahoma get a spot... B12 has about $20 million riding on Oklahoma winning out and Notre Dame losing to Stanford

There were a lot of wonderful things over the weekend. Iowa stays at #5

Maybe add North Carolina in with just the one loss as they do have an outside shot if chaos ensues and they beat Clemson, Stanford beats ND etc.

Add N. Carolina after the new rankings come out, and FOR THE LOVE OF GOD don't pencil in the Hawks for the B1G CCG! Are you crazy!?

Updated.. So TCU all the way back at 18 with one loss? Are they done then? Any two loss teams that need to be added?

Added in North Carolina and took Houston out. With only 3 potential games left there isn't enough room for them to be in the playoff..

A win this week and they're probably back in the top 10. Also wouldn't take Houston out just yet. It's very far-fetched, but they can get a win vs top 15 navy, then another top 25 vs temple and a bunch of other teams losing in front

If all hell breaks loose you may have to add Stanford back in. They are sitting at 11 with a bunch of football remaining.

Do not be so positive on NCar - their loss was to a horrible SCar and they have 2 wins verses FCS schools. That is 1 FCS school too many in one season.

Another update with just the B12 teams and Notre Dame left to play.. List will get quite a bit shorter come Tuesday I am guessing!

TCU gone.. All those 2 loss teams that ESPN seem to love are also gone, not enough games left for them to get back in it in my opinion!

Updated with AP rankings.. Will switch back to CFB rankings on Tuesday.. I do kind of like that the AP poll has basically identified the 11 teams that still have a chance and have ranked them from 1-11.. CFB poll looks much different than that with Stanford and Michigan still hanging..

What the hell happens with this thing with the Big Ten if Iowa loses on Friday but beats Michigan St. Iowa is the Conference Champion with only 1 loss so no one else would get that spot.

Assuming Stanford beats Notre Dame, ND is out. Stanford already with 2 losses.

Spots go to:
1) Clemson OR North Carolina (both are in trouble if NC beats them due to horribly soft schedule with TWO FCS schools this year).
2) Alabama (most likely to get there of all teams right now)
3) Oklahoma OR Baylor OR Oklahoma State

Stanford OR Iowa

Would they really take 2 Big 12 teams for the playoff if Baylor and Oklahoma both win or would Iowa or two loss Stanford get that spot?

What happens if Ole Miss pulls off the SEC title yet? If Auburn can pull the upset this weekend Ole Miss would play Florida for the SEC title. The SEC champ would have 3 losses would they get in over a 1 loss ND and 1 loss Big 12 champ?

I think we clearly cheer for this.. My worry wouldn't be Stanford it would be that 2 loss Notre Dame would trump 1 loss Iowa much like how they are ahead right now. NOW.. If we jump Notre Dame tomorrow and your scenario plays out I think Iowa still has a great shot with one loss..

Here is how I see it for this week..

I want-- (outside of Iowa)
1. Michigan State win
2. Stanford Win
3. Oklahoma State
4. Baylor Win
5. Michigan Win
6. Florida State win
7. I would obviously say Auburn and South Carolina but good freakin luck.

They way the Big 12 schedule is set up, it can make it hard to get a clear cut champ. I could also see it if it set's up the right way, getting 2 playoff teams.

Personally, I wanted a TCU win as it knocks Baylor out of the playoff/major bowl picture. Now both teams have two losses. College football mayhem is entertaining

Updated.. All of those 2 loss teams are officially done as there is not enough chaos remaining to get them in!

Updated through 11/28 games. 7 Teams remain, will be interesting to see where UNC ends up in the poll next week.
