Usher said "yeah" in Las Vegas on Feb. 11

The R&B-pop music star can likely file Super Bowl Sunday under one of the greatest nights of his life.

Not only did the 45-year-old “OMG” crooner light up the Super Bowl halftime show stage, delivering a spectacular performance of his biggest hits—both past and present—with a star-studded entourage featuring Alicia Keys, Lil Jon, Ludacris, will.i.am, Jermaine Dupri and H.E.R, but he also tied the knot to his longtime boo, Jennifer Goicoechea.

“Congrats to the newlyweds in the building!” producer Bryan-Michael Cox cheered as the duo made their way into the intimate USHER x Rémy Martin Post-Performance Dinner Party held at Cathédrale Las Vegas wearing all-white bridal looks, per a source who spoke with Page Six.
“One time for everybody here … let’s go!”

The private ceremony was held in an undisclosed location.

Word of the potential nuptials first came to light ahead of Super Bowl LVIII, and Parade confirmed that Usher obtained a marriage license in Las Vegas on Feb. 8, which was on file with the Clark County Clerk’s Office.
Around the same time, Usher appeared on The Talk and confirmed his family would be in attendance at Allegiant Stadium to see him perform during the milestone career moment—and his kids have even been weighing in on the setlist.

“They will be around. I’ve been receiving tons of notes from Naviyd. Usher, he gave me a couple of notes,” he said, adding, “He gave me a few songs he felt like I should definitely cut; songs I should keep.”

Usher and Goicoechea, 39, who have been together since 2018, share two children—daughter Sovereign Bo, 3, and son Sire Castrello, 2.

He’s also a father to two teenage sons, Usher ‘Cinco’ Raymond V, 16, and Naviyd Ely, 15, whom he shares with his first ex-wife, Tameka Foster. He was previously married to Grace Miguel in 2015, but the couple separated in 2018 and later divorced.
Damn, she saw him dry hump Alecia Keys and said "yeah, lets go."

One of the better, more visually fun halftime shows in a long time.

Not a big fan of his music but he knocked the showmanship aspect out of the park. He embraced the spectacle aspect of a halftime show and nailed it.

I’d give it an 8 out of 10.
He definitely filled the performer aspect along with the visual production. My issue was too many of his songs are slow and hard to hear. The whole dancing on the field through a sea of performers was mostly inaudible.

A valid criticism, but I’d argue the audio is the least important aspect of a SB halftime show anyway - hell the music is 90% canned and not really live anyway (the guitar “solo” was hilarious, I don’t think she even touched the strings)

Since you are in the middle of a field in front of 65,000 people, the visual aspect is most important and in that this show delivered.

That was H.E.R. and she's actually really good. Check her out sometime.

That’s fair. I guess I cared more about the audio because I think Usher’s a great showman and actually can sing.

I’d put his performance close to the top of my list. Behind Dr. Dre, but ahead of most of the shows in recent memory.

There aren’t many artists left that have enough hit songs and the stage presence to do the Super Bowl. Outkast would be my must see.

I don't think that's quite true.

Don't recall either but am a huge huge blues brothers fan to the point of always singing soul man and Hold on I'm coming at every karaoke event ever.

I think part of the problem was some sound issues, but it seemed like an awfully low-energy show. The first few minutes he wasn't really even singing anything. Again, might have been sound issues.

I realize I'm not the target audience, but I haven't been the target audience in years and this one still stood out as boring compared to past shows.

You familiar with Usher? He only has like 3 songs ever that are dance songs.

Usher was fine. Not really in the wheelhouse for my type of music. He wasn't the best halftime show but he certainly wasn't the worst.

Can we finally get a rock band to perform? How the Foo Fighters have not been signed to perform yet, I have no idea. And no, they are not some old band they's be bringing out of the moth balls. Dave Grohl & Co. are still kicking out music. They just released an album in 2023 and have a huge catalog of hits they could pull from, and they are legendary for their stadium performances. No-brainer that people want to see.

They are my favorite band of all time. I even have that "FF" on the back of my neck like the album cover. Wanna hear a sad story?

On a Friday afternoon I bought 2 tickets for the Foo Fighters to surprise my dad. That Friday night Taylor Hawkins passed. That was the first celeb death of my life where I was legitimately depressed for a week or two.

Honestly, "Yeah" is the only song I am familiar with from my daughter's cheerleading/dance days. Still, if his thing is slow stuff, that just doesn't seem like a good choice for halftime. I usually don't know much about the performers besides their names, but typically the show makes me want to move.

I saw his show in Tempe before he passed. One of the best shows I have ever seen.

I don’t understand how anyone ever thinks one halftime show is better than the other. They all are just a break between the game that is just used for bathroom breaks, snack breaks or driving back home from a nearby party.
Who gives a flying f*ck about the singing between halves. For all I care, they could have a dr. pepper football toss that would be just as entertaining.
