You just get through Xmas with hopefully not embarrassing yourself with an appliance gift for the wife-y.

Then, a month later, you're back in the "what to get her" gift mode...

Oh boo hoo. My wife's birthday is 17 days before Christmas.

The good thing is that it's easy to remember because it's the day after Pearl Harbor was attacked. (But you know not the same year)

Valentine's Day is easy.... a nice card, some chocolates in a heart-shaped box, flowers... jewelry if you're not a poor.

The dinner is the tough part. All the nice restaurants are packed.

I get flowers three times a year and Valentine's Day is one of them so don't mess with it. It's still better than the new knee pads and mop Northern is getting his wife.
A mop? How long does she make him wait?

That’s why you don’t take her out for dinner. She doesn’t want to stand in a crowded restaurant lobby for 40 minutes, waiting for a table. Make dinner for her. Trust me on this. Women love it when you invest time and energy rather than just flashing your credit card.

Find a relatively easy pasta recipe on the internet, make some garlic bread and a salad. Use the good plates and silverware. Light a couple of candles and dial up some Barry White on the Pandora.

She’ll be spitting your seed into the bathroom sink before 9:30.

My wife’s (no pic) birthday, our anniversary and mother’s day are all within 20 days or so of each other. At least my kids are grown up and I don’t have to worry about Mothers Day anymore..

My wife and I have not gone out on Valentines day since we were dating. We usually just try to make a nice dinner at home.

Valentine's Day is a time for the couples who still have
romance in their marriage. The couples who are in
love enjoy the custom of cards, red roses, and delicious
steak dinner at the best steak house in the area.

Valentine"s Day is an opportunity to build on the love
that brought you together. Never take each other for
granted and pretend that Valentine's Day is just one
more day on the calendar.

We haven’t bought gifts for each other since our wedding (15 years this year) on those types of holidays/events. We randomly buy each other things and save money on gifts for our annual no kids vacation.

Exactly. I would much rather have a gift that he saw and it made him think of me randomly one day. Or to go buy something that I mentioned liking just because. And I'll always choose a vacation over pretty much anything else.

Yes, but don't make it so bread-heavy. Grill a steak, hasselback potatoes if you're feeling fancy or baked if you're not, asparagus, something chocolate for dessert (even chocolate dipped strawberries or a chocolate fondue will be fine). Salad...spring greens, blue cheese crumbles, walnuts or pecans, diced apples or pears, and raspberry vinaigrette.

You gotta carb-load for the marathon sex session that follows.

I bet you write your own cards.

Valentine's Day easily my favorite holiday. Pro tip make sushi at home. Handling raw fish, forming rolls, let's just say it gets wet and slimy and phallic real quick.
