But a hook and lateral is still a hook and lateral, don't care if Iowa calls theirs the curl and pitch it's still the hook and lateral.

You are correct that it means the same thing but no one is disagreeing with that. If Iowa uses the word Raider for their defensive package why would you call it something different? Seems like you are just trying prove a point when there isn't a point to prove.

I wouldn't correct someone for saying Radar or Raider. My point is they are the same thing and would never correct anyone for calling it "Radar". It's like the damn grammar or spelling police.

If Coach Fran decides to call his zone defense next year "Zoan", would we be wrong for calling it what everyone else calls it, or could we call it either. The football term for the front seven to all be standing and is called "radar". It was called it in the 70's, 80's and today. Just like the "Zone" defense in basketball. I think we all know if we hear "Radar" or "Raider" what it is. I personally think Mr. Jules Yakapovich would be rolling in his grave if they called his defense something different. I will choose to continue to call it "Radar", because that's what it is.

The girls are back with their cat fights. Know all we need is thought police and grammar police to chime into this conversation. Your Jr. High principal is calling. He would like you to come back to class and start over.
