Vikings at Lions

Sam Darnold reminds me of Spencer Petras. Happy feet, no touch on the ball, zero pocket awareness, and a turnover waiting to happen.

Anyone who thinks you're winning a superbowl with either of these two qbs is nuts. Not happening. It's a shame bc outside qb both teams have the talent and coaching, albeit Detroit's defense is shredded.

This is a bad take. Both of these teams have had exceptional seasons and will be in the thick of it. Goff has been ridiculous this year. Both offenses are a tad off tonight.

Difference in this game is the QB. Goff getting the ball out quick on the blitzes and Darnold standing back there taking a beating without getting the damn ball out quickly. Amazing how Goff can read the blitz and throw into it quickly while Darnold looks totally lost.

Goff is proving himself as an elite QB this year.

On the bright side, after the Vikings lose at the Rams (or Eagles if they sneak by the Rams), they’ll have realized Darnold isn’t worth a long-term deal. Best case scenario is to tag him for 2025.

Goff is great with a clean pocket and when everything is perfect. When it's not, he's bad. He plays like he did tonight vs Phili, KC or Buffalo they lose.

This. Definitely this.

Another difference was the coaching. Minnesota got bullied in to playing the Lions game. Going for it on 4th down. Trying to play fast. If they had just kicked field goals on 4th down and slowed the pace a little by doing so they would have taken the frenzy out of the crowd. 2nd half could have been a whole different game with a lead and some momentum. Coulda relied on their defense to win instead of a struggling (to put it lightly) quarterback.
