Virginia’s Democratically controlled House passes seven gun control measures

Those all seem reasonable, except this one seems too subjective to enforce consistently:

Make it a felony to “recklessly” leave a firearm within reach of anyone age 18 or younger, up from the current age of 14.

One handgun a month seems odd. Didn't realize there were hoards of people buying up handguns.

One handgun a month seems "reasonable"? Why exactly is that?
So if I'm a firearm collector and find great deals on two guns I've been searching for years for, too effing bad? That's just plain dumb.
These are ridiculous laws that have zero basis in real gun crime prevention.
At least the voting public will have some real world examples of what to expect if they vote for dems. Should help bring plenty of gun rights voters to the polls.

I agree 2 guns vs 1 isn't going to make a real difference, but I just can't force myself to get worked up over the guy who really wants to buy 2 handguns today but will have to wait until next month for the second one.

Bc you don't respect the rights of others that don't personally interest you? Dangerous way to think and only allows other rights to be trampled.
I personally don't understand why anyone would protest in public and say disparaging things about others. I'd never do it so I guess I'd be fine with that right being taken away too.
The point is these restrictions aren't being done to truly impact gun violence. These legislators know it won't as they know law abiding citizens aren't the problem. Shithead northam admitted these wouldn't have prevented any of the states mass shootings including vatech. These are political acts to please people who hate firearms. Nothing more.

Dims are slowly turning a blue state red. Trump will probably carry Va in Nov. If it wasn't for the self interest voters surrounding DC he would have carried the state in '16.

BTW the districts surrounding DC are some of the richest in the country and schools are well funded as a result but the grades of those schools are lacking which proves money isn't the problem so much with poor high school test results.

DC swamp makes a lot of people very wealthy. Why do you think they hate Trump so much.

I think some of these will be overturned by SCOTUS.

which ones? I don’t see anything new on the list that hasn’t existed elsewhere, but I’ll admit I’m no expert.

The one that most jumped out to me as a potential case was the 1 handgun per month, but it says that was the Virginia law until 2012 so I’m guessing that’s established law, too.
