Virginia Cavaliers Logo Under Attack

They literally designed the logo to incorporate walls designed to hide slaves from sight. Seems like a very poor choice.

1) This doesn't look any different from their old logo.

2) WTF is a "slave wall"?

Thank you for bringing shit to my attention that I would otherwise not know about. I should also thank you for showing me what faux outrage looks like.

Yeah, the outrage part of this is totally made up. I don’t think it’s particularly smart to go with the new logo when they’re trying to become a basketball powerhouse, but that’s their problem not mine.

There's no article there and I refuse to click on seven different pages to read the article, but if the GOP has resorted to getting offended by a couple of idiots complaining on twitter then they truly are desperate. I've never seen a group of people so desperate to be persecuted about something, anything!

Ok, opposite land. You can keep telling yourself these things aren't happening all you want but people keep dying.
i take it you thought you were posting in a corona beer virus thread. no, this is a thread about how a curvy s shaped wall is consideted racist by leftists

This is all a distraction, but whatever. Taken directly from the article you posted:

In a tweet, Media Studies Professor Meredith Clark criticized the design’s ahistorical depiction of Grounds. Clark shared that the serpentine walls remain an unsettling component of her daily life teaching at the University during an interview with The Cavalier Daily.

Random people bitching on twitter doesn't compose of "the left". I think it's ridiculous that people are getting upset over this. Maybe the right just needs to cancel all social media for a while. Actually, I think everyone needs to ditch social media for a while. People like the ones in this article, and like the ones saying the virus was designed in a Chinese lab don't need a voice.

So all of the students and professors who are claiming the logo is racist don’t count?

And as a result, the people on here pointing to the idiocy of people getting offended by shit in the OP are actually the real “offended ones” and NOT the people actually claiming they’re offended? How’s that?

Basically, it’s OK to be a lunatic and get offended by every little thing, but if you point out how stupid those lunatics are, then you’re the one who’s actually offended and are a real bad person because of it.

Makes sense.

They don't count as "all of the left", that's for sure. People are stupid. Call them stupid and move on. I don't get the rest of your post because the only thing we are disagreeing on is whether or not some random University professor and some college students consists of the entire opinion of all "the left".

Reread your post I quoted. You never mentioned anything about “the left”. However, you do call the people pointing this out “the GOP”. Not sure how “the GOP” is all getting offended here. You did exactly what you’re complaining about. How is “the left” different than “the GOP” in this context?
